Brianna Wu / John Walker Flynt - "Biggest Victim of Gamergate," Failed Game Developer, Failed Congressional Candidate

Doesn't matter what Lynch supports or does not. As John demonstrated with that last email, he's willing to tell boldfaced lies to portray Lynch negatively.

Brianna hasn't given any thought to this campaign. His version of creating a message is to go on and on about "tech" like it's this fix-all for everything as well as giving empty statements like "I support free healthcare for everyone".

I mean like what Brianna thinks of the talent in District 8.

Yes very deep insight as always John. Anyway how was the work on the construction site?

John and friends are panicking that people are realizing the faux outrage industry is a joke and they won't be able to make money shrieking about sexism/racism anymore. That's what this is all about.

The whole act is so lazy. She shit talks a group of people and criticizes something. People disagree with her. She cries about harassment.

I just had a thought, most of Wu's funding is out of state. Isn't that a little like that Ossof guy the D's ran in Georgia but even more incompetent?

This isn't a real campaign. It's just a scam so people can pay her to buy shit on Amazon, take some vacations, and eat fast food. The only thing campaign related she's spent money on are things that can generate more money. Not a single mailer, town hall,, or campaign event in the district.

Call me :optimistic: but I'd like to think that Frank has aspirations above going to Disney land and indulging his husbands every expensive whim.

Hopefully one day he'll tell John that he'd like to go to another country and experience a different culture rather than throwing away shit loads of money scaring all the kids who see them at disenyland and running fake congressional campaigns.

Ossoff didn't live in the district he was running in either and couldn't cast a ballot for himself, so Wu is in good company.

Does Wu remember that he's supposed to be pretending to run for congress? It feels like he's already gotten bored with it and has resumed normal sperging instead of the "As your congresswoman" sperging.

Wu doesn't give a fuck. He doesn't even know what a congressman does let alone running a campaign. Its all a scam by an incompetent nutjob tranny trying to remain relevant. Because the pity bux are drying up. And not even thirsty male feminists can muster the will to buy his game in support

I got bored of waiting for the FEC to fix their site, so I extracted the data myself and made CSV files out of it. Cross-posting the choice bits of my analysis - see the War Room for more details.

There were 46 donors this cycle, 19 of whom had donated in the last cycle, and 27 of whom are new. The total contribution was $4070, of which $1085 was from California. $520 was from Massachusetts, and the rest was mostly from random individuals (including a few whales who gave several hundred apiece)

Largest donors this time: James Stanley Daugherty (a sci-fi friend of Frank's) who gave $500 at once, followed by Guinevere Hildebrand, a transgender woman who has been giving $100/month since the campaign started.

As far as I can tell, there was precisely one donor who is from District 8: Sara Jones.

As for expenditures, they break down as follows:
Actual Campaigning: 5972.49
Tech Toys: 3554.08
Travel: 2266.82
For a grand total of 11793.39 spent.

I define "campaigning" very generously, as all the ads, campaign software, and everything relating to that "candidate training" event.
"Tech Toys" is all the junk from Amazon and Ikea.
"Travel" is everything relating to the trip to California.

Frank paid out-of-pocket for the video ads and John's "candidate training" stuff in Massachusetts
Note that Frank actually got this wrong and "memo'ed out" the $959.79 of candidate-training stuff twice, so the numbers on the FEC website aren't correct. Feel free to weeen to the FEC about this, but they won't care.

Attached the CSV files here too, for anyone who doesn't have War Room access.

EDIT: one other point of interest: Wu For God-Emperor currently has 13 monthly subscribers, who contribute a total of $380/month between them.

EDITING again for corrections and follow-ups:
There was an additional $1008.18 of "unitemized" individual contributions, making the total donations for this quarter $5078.18.
The Wus haven't seen a single red cent from an party or PAC, as if that should surprise anyone.

I couldn't find anything about that "refunded donation", it just shows up as an unitemized expenditure.

And: just to get it out there, once again there's no indication of financial chicanery - Frank's taking payment only for documented out-of-pocket campaign expenses. Unless they're submitting completely false documents to the FEC, everything appears to be on the up-and-up.

Well, except for the part where Wu used campaign finances to pay for a personal trip. That's still not kosher.

Even if we pretend that she campaigned at all (which she absolutely did not), one obvious concern is her hotel total. Back when I was in school, I got to travel for a couple of conferences and so did my peers. We were allowed to stay beyond the actual dates of business if we wanted to since flight costs didn't vary too much and seemed to be better for longer stays.

We did NOT get to expense hotel nights or anything else for the extra days because that would be fraud.

Did Wu campaign at Alt-Con? No, of course not. Did she campaign every day of the conference so as to justify expensing her whole hotel stay? Absolutely not.

I don't know what the FEC rules are on this but they can't see Alt Con and the purchase of a glowing orb as justifiable expenses.

The Quality Inn stay date matches the night she had a campaign dinner for 3-4 people including herself (LOL) at Shangri-La. Expedia probably covers all other hotel nights at $1245.43.

Obvious fraud is obvious.

LOL, loving that people are expecting a civil service drone to give two shits (ie: less than we do) about John's fraud.

First they have to collect the evidence and then actually prosecute him, in front of a judge that's going to say "why are we bothering the court over two grand of dodgy expenses, that the defendant can write of by claiming exceptionality, when the prosecution will cost ten times more"(De Minimis Non Curat Lex).

its like people are expecting ethics in political campaigning or something.

Johns gonna john, just laugh and move on.

Yeah, when this thing started out I was gleefully anticipating the inevitable crash of the FEC's fist into the Wus' faces when sheer incompetence crossbred with genuine fraud. Fortunately for the health of the Republic (but unfortunately for the lulz), the Wus are so spectacularly unappealing and such obvious jokes that the amounts of cash involved are far too paltry for the government to give a wet shit about it.

This is how the Snarl ends ... not with a bang but a whimper.
