Its almost like the sudden drop is only possible because the increase was also fake and based on speculation too. Maybe we need a better system to manage the price of oil than what a bunch of coke heads in New York think.

Do you have any suggestions for how the price of oil can be determined other than what users are prepared to pay for it?

Ghalibaf, Araghchi, and Pezeshkian have not posted anything in over 21 hours - since the rumours of their house arrests by IRGC started.

Anybody heard anything more about this?

Thry can cause problems because the USA is not shooting at them right now. If we start shooting again the problem gets solved very quickly.
I suspect that many issues could be resolved by sending US planes along the coastline with an "if it floats, it won't" policy. They aren't going to be storing boats in mountain tunnels.

Let them cause problems. Let then get outright cocky about running that straight before you sweep in and sink all of those attack boats with A10 fire.

Look all I'm gonna say is that legally Jesus had it coming. If you go around claiming you're thing "king of the jews" while actively changing the faith and claiming your God (all things punishable by death as per the Torah (aka the old testament) and enforceable as the Sanhedrin and temple were in use) don't be shocked when the court system finds you guilty and sentences you to death (or turns a blind eye to the Romans doing it for you). This is during the time Jews were stabbing each other because they "were acting greek" everyone was getting the sword.

(No seriously read the OT again, discarding the laws in their totality and changing them is punishable by death as decreed by God)
Lol i was just fucking with you dude.

and if that's a navy then the drunk rednecks on the lake this summer is an armada.
IRGC Navy vs Cajun Navy showdown when?

Everyone says that China's "Do Nothing = Win" strategy is surely working but having your energy supply partially threatened sounds like a massive national security threat to me, I wonder when will they intervene.
The real problem is that this situation has demonstrated their method of world policing doesn't work. Since 2010 they've offered themselves as the "reasonable alternative" to america, the adult in the room, all that gay shit. That they would use development and economic carrot/stick to achieve what the USA uses military force for.

Not only has that failed to even keep the belt and road countries safe, they're now showing that if they wanted to open the strait they fundamentally depend on, they couldn't do it.
>Bb-b-but the strait was open before america went meanie pants!
Yes and how long? In what circumstances? What happens when Iran decides Ching Chongs shouldn't be allowed to buy oil until they declare a fattwatababttaaiaiaawlahggha? The chinese economy is at the mercy of a bunch of insane babbling retards and the chinese couldn't do a damn thing about it.

Every other country that wants security and stability sees this. They can't keep the oceans safe, and basically every country desperately needs the oceans to be safe.

Even ordinary Pakistani citizens are saying their government looks pathetic for continuing to try to force itself as mediator after Iran publicly mocked them.

In other news, Trump reposted this article asking if he'd go full Sherman.

Israeli Channel 12 reports Israel has been informed Trump's extension of the Iran ceasefire will last until Sunday.️ This time would allow for the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush to arrive to the CENTCOM area of responsibility.️ It would also give time for a last-ditch attempt to negotiate a deal.

The Pentagon has told Congress it could take up to six months to fully clear mines from the Strait of Hormuz, with such operations unlikely to begin until the war with Iran ends, WaPo reports.

➡️ The estimate was shared during a classified briefing to the House Armed Services Committee.

➡️ U.S. lawmakers were told that Iran may have placed more than 20 naval mines in and around the Strait of Hormuz, some deployed remotely using GPS technology to avoid detection, while others were laid by small Iranian boats.

Pakistan needs to just bow out at this point for the sake of their own Izzat. Claim Iran lied to them and how upset they are by their betrayal. This is just getting silly.

So people are either violating the law by leaking this shit or just making things up. I'm gonna go with both.

In regards to what @autistic dog was saying: Paying far more than it's currently worth based on the assumption that people are going to be willing to pay far more for it in the future due to a supply shortage that didn't end up actually happenning, allowing you to then sell it at a higher price than you paid for it.

That's how stocks work.

We have an explanation as to why Iran wasn't launching many missiles after the first few days of the war:
photo_2026-04-22_14-12-41.jpg
photo_2026-04-22_14-12-43.jpg
During the war, Iranian missile crews started to pump the liquid propellant missiles with fuel inside the underground bases, in order to avoid having to fuel them outside, which takes several hours

Pumping fuel into the missiles while laying horizontally, rather than vertically, is an extremely dangerous and precise task which requires significant expertise. Even then, it carries an elevated risk of explosion.

The technique has allowed Iranian missile crews to quickly fire and return to their tunnels, preserving launchers from destruction.

@Middle_East_Spectator
They were so scared of US/IAF airstrikes they were fueling their missiles while they were horizontal. "Expertise" my ass, if they kept up the same tempo of launches doing this they would have blown up their own launch sites.
