At the end of the day, no matter how angry or disappointed the fans claim to be, as soon as June rolls around, it's not gonna make a difference. At best, it's recognition that you can enjoy something even if you don't like the people behind it.

At worst, it's like that episode of Spongebob where Patchy destroys all his merch because Spongebob "betrayed" him, but then turns around and restores them before he decides to watch more Spongebob

I think they should do this, but they would never do it for two reasons.

Firstly, I think they can recognize that this is mostly a twitter issue. No one really cares on reddit (surprisingly) or youtube which is where a majority of the actual fans seem to be, and on twitter the backlash is pretty split. I see a lot of people agreeing that it's stupid.

Secondly, after the Gooseworx freakout drama, Glitch is probably trying to prevent any more controversy. They probably helped the VAs write their apologies in the hopes that it would blow over, not realizing that it just gave the insane people more ammunition.

I thought X was supposed to be the nazi site. Why is it more offended about this than REDDIT of all places?

But my last question got me thinking about the UTTP thing. Some of the VAs were saying that UTTP were spamming their twitter replies with animal gore for the past few weeks and I wonder if the backlash is just manufactured by them somehow? Like they dug up old clips of the VAs and manufactured outrage using fake accounts. Because it really seems so disproportionate.

Or maybe basketball americans are just being basketball americans idk.

Tadc, smg4 and a portion of the md fandom seem a lot more toxic than most other modern fandoms tbh. Especially smg4, they try to incinerate the smg4 crew, fellow fans, critics, randoms and that other indie comic artist on a regular basis worse than the newest bipolar spats from the tadc fandom against the va's, and for much smaller things. The most toxic part of that fandom feels four or five steps away from mutating into more hazel schizos. Im glad they're way over there and that my mascot horror fandoms didn't gain these toxic waste retardos instead. These three are the glitch ones with the biggest child and teen population. Gen alphas and late zoomers are such hateful demanding annoying fucks and almost satanic, retarded addicts its unreal. Even as a fandom vet, I thought it would take until at least the 2030s for things to get this bad and that'd it'd be the hazbin fandom or some bizzaro new furry fetish based thing, or maybe a new mascot horror fandom, not stuff from glitch that wasn't social justice or lgbt promoting, political or nsfw involved.
