Iran Crisis & the 2026 War between Iran and the United States, Gulf States, and Israel - Please focus on news and coverage, not argumentation.

We should annex all UK possessions, including Northern Ireland. What's Starmer going to do about it? Write an angry letter? Get fucked, the Alabama NG could conquer your shitty island in a couple of days. We must fulfill George Washington's Mandate: The total submission of the eternal Angloid.

Great idea. The USA could also make the UK pay for it. I'll start the deadline countdown.

Law of War
This is some neoliberal fairy tale shit. What are the War Police gonna arrest them and send them to War Prison?

War has no law, the concept of "war crime" exists to ex post facto justify taking political positions that require nominal public support. It's a propaganda tool.

Why not suspend them from the UN, the Olympics and Eurovision too?
That sounds more like a reward than a punishment.

Since energy is part of the conflict and the IEA published their annual report recently. I am dropping some selected takes.
Change in Energy demand region.png

Coal just for the whole picture.
Annual Coal Demand Region.png

Then oil:
Global Oil Demand.png
Oil Demand by region.png

We are sing a slowdown in oil demand growth. Will be interesting to see if we will hit peak oil in a couple of years. Now gas:

Annual Gas Demand region.png

Then some technologies:

Heat Pump Sales.png

Electric Car sales.png

Which brings me to electricity:

Electricity Mix by Region.png

Gas & Oil don't play a large role in electricity generation in Asia. So the lights will be kept on. Here comes the hammer though.

Global electricity generation change by source.png

Renewables absolutely dominating to the point where electricity generation from coal went down for the first time in decades outside of a financial crisis or stuff like Covid. The increase in gas is also only minimal in 2025. If this keeps on going it will kill coal power generation quickly.

Full report:

Not much new info. Basically just reiterating that we own the Strait, any claims that Iranian ships are sneaking by are fake news, NATO can suck our dicks for expecting us to do their work for them, and we're gonna be blowing up wise guy boats that try to lay mines or steal ships.

Hegseth spent quite a while mocking Europe for spending weeks on pompous and elitist conferences that result in nothing, and they can deal with their jet fuel crisis themselves.
He said the alleged six-month timeline it would take to clear the Strait of mines is stupid.
A TMZ journo asked some stupid question about what's going through Hegseth's mind when ordering an attack (does he feel an adrenaline rush or power trip), and Hegseth called it out for being a very TMZ question.
Ironically, the other TMZ journo actually asked a semi-decent question on whether the Department of War should be renamed the Department of Peace, since that's the final goal.
A Kurdish reporter asked how America plans to respond to Iran continuing to violate the ceasefire against its Arabian allies, and Hegseth said we're working on dismantling their proxies as well as their nuclear program.
He also said we're looking into honoring the soldiers who sacrificed during Biden's atrocious Afghanistan withdrawal.

Damn, everytime i have time to sit down and feed the hdf telegram into Claude most of it's already been posted here. Just want to extract one morsel of fresh farsi news before @Mr. Racewar1488 has his next tube of ketracel-white plugged in.

me in, i can take em, all of them.
I know how to get the zoomers interested. Make taking war brides great again.
we can win wars against the people. the military failures of the 21st century ccme with winning hearts and minds. if you kill every male in a town, stack their bodies like a wall and enslave their women, you can win the war.
What is greatest in life?

BREAKING: Some respectless politician, whom the IRGC already overruled when he tried to open the Strait, is maybe going to Islamabad tonight, says increasingly desperate Pakis for the sixth time this week.

Hey, look. That thing happened again, where Israel broke the news of what's going on in Iran's political circus nearly a day before Iran admitted to it.

It's part of a tour that includes Oman and Russia. Looks less like a resumption of peace talks and more like he's trying to gather allies because his country is being economically strangled.
Coincidentally, both Oman and Russia have offered to take over mediation since Iran feels Pakistan is too pro-American.
