In all seriousness, the general reception seems to be pretty split. It has leaked over into tiktok as well which is where a large portion of the viewerbase is, but there is very clearly a racial divide in "the fandom" going on. I wonder how things will develop once the show is over, probably everyone will quickly move on from it because it is too uncomfortable to them to talk about their favourite gods (VA's) saying the freaking nega word.

Goose at least has the fandom benefit of being from a protected group. Michael, on the other hand, identifies as a straight white male (technically a 'hetroromantic asexual' but thats not opressed enough) and will be the first to be eaten by the wolves in any project where all his other coworkers who engage with fans are more diverse than he is.

Anyway, if the fandom really is racially divided, one side would probably be contributing a lot more income to Glitch than the other, so if they know whats good for them theyll act accordingly. But they probably wont, oh well.

To actually answer, modern black culture is built around stealing. This includes art such as rap music, which is based around samples from existing songs, and drawings where I've seen black artists take commissions to literally just draw over an existing anime frame but make the characters black zoomer hoodweebs, acting as if its their own original work. They are also narcissists who literally cannot relate with a character unless they're black.

They are incapable of understanding why this is considered wrong.
 
This is so obviously just stupid kids thinking they're doing activism by cleansing their precious indie animation of undesirables so they won't end up being the cesspit of scum that is Hollywood, despite Kevin Lurdwichagul clearly signaling that turning "indie" animation into a high-profile Hollywood style venture is his endgame with Glitch.

I don't think it's actually about the racism. I think it's a proxy for other grievances.

For example, Gooseworks reddit freakout. The fallout was a lot of mild criticism being labeled as harassment. The recent theater controversy is another example. You can't citizen Glitch without being anti-indie and entitled. This dynamic has created a lot of resentment. And since the racism angle is the only socially acceptable valve for it, the fans are going to milk it for everything its' worth.

It's the dual side of having a hyper woke, rabid fanbase. You'll have plenty of white knights, but those same white knights are going to make you hated over time.
 
I think all of this is a misdirection of frustrations felt by the community surrounding TADC. Originally, they were disgruntled over the obvious cashing in that is being done with the theatre release, when people presented those frustrations online they were quickly drowned-out by other fans shaming them for coming after their precious "indie" studio and those fans were able to hold the moral highground in that regard cause we are required to support all artists, all the time, forever, until the sun explodes and we can never call out anything inherently greedy that they do because muh starving artist trope.

But, those original frustrations didn't go away. People were left stewing in them, with no way to express them without getting swamped by Cooper's squad of militant dick-riders. So, what is there left to do other than to kick up old drama? At least, in this regard, the original parties can now take back the perceived moral highground with the added bonus of getting people on their side in terms of rejecting TADC at it's most financially crucial moment.

Or, maybe they're all just faggots.
