It's really frustrating how fucking hard it is for people in this country to analyze American politics objectively without slinging shit everywhere and calling the other side literal nazis or communists 100% of the time. America is an amazing country, albeit with some issues. But it's just objectively a country with free speech and a slow political process that's adverse to one-party ideological blitzkrieg. It's weird people can't see this and think we're actually living in a totalitarian hellstate. Politics are pretty important but the common person isn't able to engage with it without falling back to personal insults and literal toddler-level discourse.
