In the future, keep in mind that MIGA had no issue with the president and first lady crying, whining, and schizoposting on Twitter. They were fine with the president and vice president silencing people and companies they don't like, and kicking journalists out. They didn't have a problem with a president who typed like an absolute retard, had no tact, and was a complete asshole. They had no issue with the president and vice president posting videos on Twitter of people they don't like getting arrested, hurt, or killed. They didn't have a problem with them lying about shit. They didn't have a problem putting incompetent, unqualified, and unprofessional people into positions of authority. They're fine with calling political opponents "the enemy" and demanding they be arrested, put into camps, or killed. They called for a civil war to kill liberals and Democrats. They were happy to withhold funding for schools, counties, cities, and states that disagreed with the president. They're fine with the president unilaterally declaring war, setting tariffs, and abducting leaders of other countries. They're fine with the president threatening to invade friendly countries.

All of that is okay. They didn't complain once with Trump.

If you've never visited that part of DC, it's actually really nice-looking and very sincere. Giant Abraham Lincoln's advice booth and thoughtful pool with Washington's righteous sword on the horizon of the literal land on which your founders beat the English is good composition.
I personally think it's pretty lame and gay that Americans built a little lego Rome in the middle of VIRGINIA aka the birthplace of the New World where you're free from the stone streets and ancient names of the old country and can seek your fortune on your own merits, but it at least wasn't ugly until this weirdo got his poshlosty mitts on it.

I couldn't agree more. This is absolutely a 1st amendment violation as far as I'm concerned. It doesn't matter if I agree or disagree with what they're saying. I've been seeing a concerning growth in this kind of action being taken by law enforcement over the last year. At least with what's getting talked about. I don't think we should minimize the ultimately government backed (by proxy) online censorship of the past. But this move to go after people posting online is pretty concerning. It's very reminiscent of the crackdown the UK had. At least there are actually some decent lawyers that will take up cases pro bono for free speech violations. So hopefully the people seeing this happen will get decent representation if it's needed.

When we carve out exceptions to the first amendment for speech people don't like, that later lets the government (or people paying politicians) use that to their advantage to silence people saying things they don't like. The same thing happens every time. This is one thing that needs to be absolute, and unmovable.
