I wouldn't beat yourself up over it too much, tbh. He sunk his roots into every topic possible right of center and tried to corral everyone in each circle he was in. He was unavoidable, and at least back then he was lucid and he covered pertinent stuff. Narcs like him can hide their shitbaggery behind the mask online for a long time. I watched him too for a bit. Most people like yourself move on over time, usually sooner than later. Good to know then that I'm not alone in this fact. After awhile, the more I heard his vids in passing, the more I started to think Jer was a pseudo-intellectual dipshit, but until I saw this thread get crazy, along with other YouTubers talking about him, then did I realize how deep/ugly the rabbit hole was beyond what his content was.

Nope, you're not alone at all. I'd go as far to wager that that is the story of about 98% of people who once watched him. As has been said many times here, not only is he too boring to a-log solo, he floods all channels with non-stop horseshit piling on top of each other so it feels futile to really look into him, kind of like a Brandolini's Law of the inane and boring.

Only until Returnofthemacandcheese and KC was it even possible for him to be exposed to others aside from the people that he has directly fucked with with his crybully tactics.
