I clearly don't understand camera lenses. I have a limit S5 and bought a 50 mm lens but I need to shoot ultra macro. Grok says I need this one but isn't this further? I essentially need to be right in from of the camera for sports card pack openings I cant reach over too far

I think he’s in a loveless marriage and tries to cope with buying shit and abusing alcohol, food, and whatever other drugs he can get prescribed rather than getting a divorce and fixing himself. His default action is to try to bury everything, which makes him feel better in the immediate but makes things worse in the long term. He’s also said he has Asperger’s, which makes social skills and connections more difficult. Then you add alcohol abuse, plus his default temperament, and you get whatever this is.

PPP said it correctly. He tries to fill the hole in his soul in maladaptive ways, and being on the internet amplifies it. It would be sad if he wasn’t dragging other people into it.

As a former drunk poster (when I was in my 20s, good lord Jeremy grow the fuck up) I have done this. Panic posting, thinking that other ppl have the same 20 second memory that you do at the time

The anxiety is often real, but it comes from avoiding things. The correct action is to put yourself in situations that cause some discomfort rather than avoiding them. This is a major problem in modern society, where we expect everything to be immediate and easy. Ironically, as the friction of the modern world has lessened, mental health has deteriorated. Hugboxes produces weaker people. Humans need to overcome challenges to learn that they are able to handle difficulties.

He's also retarded, I know, noone's surprised. The minimum focus distance for the 50mm lenses seems to be twice as far as that macro. Which is also not _quite_ the point. Even if they had the same MFD then the macro lens having twice the focal length would have a much closer reproduction ratio.

He doesn't really say what the spec he needs is. If he just wants to fill more of the screen with the card at the same distance, that'll do it.
