I actually know a Chinese guy who purchased a nearby farm. He also owns a bunch of office buildings. He’s a naturalized citizen who loves the fuck out of Trump.

The Chinese just love making money and real estate investments are one of the few ways Chinese people actually feel comfortable investing their money in. People are just jumping through hoops to turn this into a conspiracy. Most military bases are out in BFE with the farmland, so it makes perfect fucking sense for a people who historically prefer real estate investing to purchase farmland tangentially close to military bases.

The Chinese I know are about 50/50 on Trump, and probably for the same reason Americans are: they watch a lot of the same slop and are not disconnected from the American zeitgeist.

But let's bring this back on topic. Further, I propose that Iran must be destroyed.

Yep like I said previously in response to the but the midterms donald the MIDTERMS! panicans and concern trolls is that in truth before this war began it was highly unlikely the GOP maintained its 2 seat majority in the house. The Democrats and the very same said concern trolls have been insisting as much before the war began. but the polls donald the POLLS! were telling us the house was gone no matter what. In which case why would high gas prices increase pressure on Trump at all? How does losing 10 house seats vs 15 vs 20 effect him in any way? If he loses the house by a single seat nothing is getting passed there. He's getting impeached. He's getting investigated.

What does he actually have to lose strangling Iran to death no matter how long it takes, if he was going to lose the house no matter what before the war even started? The panicans have a hard time articulating precisely why he needs to do something quickly because of muh gas prices. What if he doesn't? He's gonna super duper double lose the house instead of just losing it normally?

The claim that the regime changed is true enough under a certain interpretation. It's simply that the change is not meaningful if the new boss is the same as the old boss, which is an assessment that could reasonably take some time when even the Iranians don't really know who's in charge.

His assessment has simply changed on the viability of the first round of replacements being willing to play ball.

Iran is in a much weaker position now than at the start of the war, and the US has even more assets in theater, so arranging for another round of "firings" in the Iranian leadership is very achievable if the president decides their replacements would be more useful negotiation partners.

Pretty sure his change lines up with Trump saying he doesn't know who the leaders are anymore earlier in the thread. Trump seemed to fully believe he was working with Iran's citizen leadership, which was looking to make deals, only for recent articles of the past 1-2 weeks to disclose that the leadership he was meeting with has no real authority over anything as it is a military couped country.

The new strategy is to demolish the remaining regime and pluck anyone willing to lead the country and finalize deals with them. As Trump stated, no one wants to play leader for Iran. Guess no one wants to get exploded, though the regime doesn't want to retract the conditions that get leaders killed either.

They're probably more scared of their population rising up than they are of America resuming bombing. At least while we're blowing shit up, they can be reasonably assured the populace will stay inside.
