Sonichu Sonichu drawing for sale

Nothing will convince him that he's holding a worthless drawing. You just can't reason with someone as mentally ill as Chris. The only things he knows are that he is the most important person to ever live, and that semicolons are AWESOME. You don't see this kind of craziness outside of a mental care facility. There are so many wires stuck in the wrong places, and so much incorrect learned behavior, that you could spend weeks explaining why charging $1000 for a childish bad drawing is wrong, and still get nowhere with him. He doesn't fucking grasp the concept of Australia. *throws down a stack of papers and storms off*

The really frustrating thing is, it's not worthless. Like other posters have said, people would buy that stuff if he was patient enough to sell it like a sane person. Chris has guaranteed money on the line if he keeps his expectations reasonable, but just like with women, he prefers a too-good-to-be-true instant jackpot to magically materialize NOW NOW NOW NOW. In the time he's wasted relisting auctions he could have made some actual money.

Imagine if he could bring himself to part with some of his comic pages, actual pieces of Christory, for $10-20 apiece. Maybe I'm overestimating the devotion of weens but somebody would buy them.

Chris' art is the reason I became interested in his antics. I saw Sonichu somewhere and had to know moar.

The fascinating thing about Sonichu is that it is full of things which have been copied from other works, in a way that makes it evident Chris doesn't know why he's copying them.

In some places, Chris knows exactly why he introduces something from the real world - because it's a person or place that's wronged him and his comic world is the only place he can get revenge.
In other places, he'll use quotes or characters from other media, or throw in some product placement, in a way that adds nothing to what passes for plot or characterisation.

The CWCville power rangers are a good example. Their appearance provides no satire or commentary on the original Power Rangers, they are never contrasted with the existing Sonichu characters - they're only there because Chris loves Power Rangers. He thinks it's adding something just to have these characters appear, even though they do none of the things which made them popular to begin with.

Contrast this with creators who borrow prolifically, but always with awareness of what they're borrowing, why they borrowed it, and how it fits in with what they're creating. Tarantino is a good example of this.

Ok, no, so, Chris doesn't want money. He wants easy money.

Being reasonable and making more drawings is exactly on par with telling Chris to get a job.

Really, considering his goals, a BIN sale on ebay, with one picture, is the most reasonable thing for Chris to do. He can either make $1k, or he can make nothing, but then he's right back where he started. So, whatever.

But in the end he will be wasting more money, time and energy trying to get it sold.
He wasted money buying the frame. And he wastes a lot of time whining about how it's not being sold.

But within the parameters Chris has, BIN, for $1000, is the best way to go. It's like how he "invests" in lottery tickets. He thinks there's always a chance he could win big, and it's a few bucks (money doesn't mean anything to Chris), what's the harm? Nothing.

The thing is Sonichu is more than just a comic to him. Hell, Sonichu isn't so much a comic as a window looking into the world of CWCville. Chris doesn't put things in Sonichu for the sake or plot, but rather because it's his own personal fantasy world and he'd rather his fantasy world be filled with things he likes. That's why all the wildlife are Pokemon, why Sonic shows up, why he makes out with Meg Griffin and why the plot is so terribly dull, because any kind of actual threat to his fantasy world can't be tolerated.

I think he was a hair's breadth from school shooter territory.

With a Megatron pistol. Pow pow.

Did Chris think to even buy a frame with acrylic instead of glass? You can't ship glass without a huge risk of it shattering. The frame was totally extraneous, and proves he just shops to fill the boredom void. No surprise there. Whenever artists sell their stuff already framed, it's usually a piece of shit. That's the most legit artist cred I've seen from him though.

Getting a frame from the dollar store was the thing that Chris thought would make him look the most like a legit seller, with the least amount of effort. (and of course he fails to realize everyone will see through his ruse and notice it's a cheap frame). I bet Chris has lots of these little nuances balanced out in his mind, how to react to any given situation with the least possible effort that in his mind will still make him look good. The results, as we see, are never pretty.

Huh, didn't know that Chris played the lottery. I would have expected some rant to the Virginia Department of Lottery about how MONEY WAS BASICALLY PROMISED by now.

Elliot Rodger finally went apeshit when he blew his savings on Powerball tickets and didn't win. That's why he decided that he'll never become a chick-magnet millionaire in his lifetime and so he went a murder spree.

Thankfully, we know that any guns Bob may have owned are probably rusted into uselessness, and Chris is too cowardly/lazy to go Columbine anywhere.

I've been to conventions where I've seen people buy shitty art at tables just to remove said shitty art from the matte frames and reuse said frames for their own pictures. Sometimes it's cheaper that way than having to leave your table at a con just to look for an art supply store.

It's sad that this is his only attempt to make money off of his art. Who cares if the glass shatters? TOUGH. Buy it now anyways, or else your a hatered troll!

He'll get nothing from anyone. And then we can all laugh about it and go on with our lives.
