Chris has never given a shit about his 'fans'. The only time he cares is when he wants them to act as his own personal army or give him money/lego/china.

So, I thought a bit more about this.

The actual significance of Chris getting $1k depends a lot on how Chris transfers his tugboat to Barb. If he writes a check or just does a bank transfer, he could hide that extra $1k, endure the same money-bitching from Barb as usual, and still have the extra cash. Or, maybe (like someone previously suggested) he'd give her the money to shut her up.

Or ooh, watch him get on Barb's good side by just giving her an extra $500, and not tell her about the whole check. But he might not be smart enough to do that.

I don't think he could hold down a job even if he wanted to though, at this point. He's so lazy, stupid and lacking in social skills that no boss would want to put up with him; it's not like he's got a good personality to skate on. Besides, in this economy getting him ired for anything would be a miracle. Unless he gets some sheltered workshop tard job it's not even worth considering IMO.
