Elevator & Escalator Club - "I LOVE THE ELEVATOR AND THE BUTTONS AND THE SOUNDS TOO"

Every time I go on an elevator in a high rise building I worry the damn thing is going to fail and send me crashing to the floor to my death as it wobbles a bit too much and yet you have people like this who think filming and riding these is serious business.

At least when they get busted and chimp it's hilarious.

One of my former professors adopted a black kid who's like 4 now or something and is supposedly obsessed with elevators. I'm guessing this is just one of those spergy hobbies that some don't grow out of.

I guess you either grow up an engineer or :autism:
I'd assume so. At least an engineer is a useful skill, and hey if you're one of these spergs at the same time I guess you'd really enjoy your work. But just being obsessed with it to the point of being utterly useless seems pretty damn dumb to me.

I can sort of see interest in historical bits, like one hotel I stayed at had the claim of still operating the first elevator built in California. They had framed newspaper articles about it in the lobby. But common office building elevators? Freight elevators? The fuck?

Do these people even lift? (drum fill)

To be fair, if I had a child who were autistic I'd rather they were sticking to relatively harmless spergery such as this rather than being bronies or furries or Tumblrinas. I certainly wouldn't want to sit next to them at a dinner party though or a long distance train journey.

Every time I think I've seen peak :autism:, something like this pops up.

Circular Staircase Reviewing Community

accurate simulation;
"Hey guys stepfan1026 here. I'm in the southern stairwell of my local college and we've got a really beauty here today! The craftsmanship on these stairs is gorgeous! I've measured and counted every step, and each one of these 402 steps varies by only +/- 0.2mm in width! And gosh, I get wet just thinking about the accuracy the height of each step has been engineered to!

Security kicked me out when they found me measuring everything with my micrometer, and rubbing on everything with my microdick, and that's why I've broken in here after dark to finish my professional review!"

As far as all the weird obsessions on the internet go this one's pretty harmless. The real question here is: why? But then again, we all already know the answer and it's :autism:

However it's still more autistic than rail fans. At least trains can be cool and they usually go fast. This one is just weird.

Wow. I stumbled across these guys before. Surprised they're still at it. I actually found them via Roblox too!

One of my friends kept trying to get me into Roblox, but I kept telling no way because that game is filled with Minecraft-Tier Autism.

He kept swearing it wasn't, so I made a bet with him that I could find Omega-Level Autism within 10 minutes.

It took less than 5. One of the first servers that caught my eye was called "Extreme Elevator Enthusiasts" and as soon as we joined some sperg was advertising his "Elevator Tour" Youtube Channel.

My friend lost the bet, so he was never allowed to ask me to play Roblox again. We watched a ton of elevator tour videos and laughed our asses off. But this was like 3ish years ago. I figured they'd move on. I forgot that it's Autism. Autism never changes.
