TV shows usually show kids eating ice cream after tonsil surgery. Or at least they used to. So people have it in their heads that it's ok right after. I wouldn't be surprised if Mama Nails thought so too. Was it ever confirmed that she was given a contraband popsicle? I don't buy the hamburger story. But apparently it's true that they turned the ICU into a ghetto buffet.

I don't know if this is before or after things took a turn for the worse. But this is insane. They just wheeled in a cart of food and bags of groceries, making trash everywhere. Is that even allowed? I've never seen people take a bunch of food into the hospital like that.

I'm wondering if anyone came out and told them to stop turning the waiting room into a ghetto all you can eat. The pic with the cart has what looks like an empty juice jug in the bag. I wonder how many bags of trash they made and how many bags they had the courtesy to dispose of. You can't turn a waiting room into a restaurant dumpster. It's not sanitary at all. You're drawing bugs and putting sick people at risk.

As for whether or not Mama Nails is giving Jahi vitamins, here's a picture of a cabinet full of them.

Those vitamins must have cost a fortune. And they aren't going to do anything. Can't overdoses of some vitamins be toxic? I seriously doubt Mama Nails has any idea what the hell she's doing. She probably just googled everything. The family doesn't come across as being very sharp at all. If they were, Jahi would still be alive. They're ghetto trash and it shows. Yeah everytime I've visited someone in ICU there's been no eating in the waiting room. It's not a "race" thing.

Like Gwen, "Mama" Nails is a life long narcissist. I'm sure Jahi's life was the "Mama Nails Show" before she ever died even. It's so tragic her family's ignorance killed her. At the end of the day she's the one I feel really sorry for.

Our local pediatric ICU has waiting rooms for family where they are allowed to congregate and eat. Extended families (and probably friends) will camp out in the recliners and leave food trash everywhere. Mama Nails & crew probably commandeered the cart from somewhere in the hospital, but at least they kept their shit in one place. Unfortunately, the IDGAF attitude & lack of consideration for other families isn't uncommon when you are dealing with that segment of the population.

I do wonder how they've kept her limbs from atrophying and curling up. From what little I know, you can keep a body going a long, long time on life support, but it curls up like a spider on a hot stove.

I think that they're supposed to exercise the limbs every day to keep that from happening, but I doubt that completely prevents it (astronauts in space for extended periods of time exercise every day for this exact reason and I'm pretty sure they go through atrophy until returning home). But as you can imagine people get tired of doing that every single day which speeds up the process. The Harley girls are the end result of extreme atrophy. Eventually Jahi is going to resemble them.

I think the nails are probably blue or black underneath and it would look bad in pictures. It would destroy the narritive that she's actually healthy and doing well.

I'm not sure how many other children there are. There's an older daughter right? I think she had a baby. And one boy was sent to live with his father. Then there's a girl who was around five when Jahi had the surgery. The five year old had been acting out at school and choked another student. She was doing this because she missed her mother, who had went off to NJ because of their laws regarding patients like Jahi.

I don't know why a mother would leave her five year old like that. Forsaking a living child for a dead one. I did get some satisfaction from hearing that Mama Nails didn't like the NJ winter at all. Especially the snowstorms that hit the northeast. That's what you get for leaving a warm climate to chase the money your dead child might get you.

Is the baby Mama Nails' or is it from the other daughter? Having a baby when you've got all of these scattered kids and a child on life support is very irresponsible. But the fundies love it when you keep popping out Christian soldiers.
