The thing about Social Justice nowadays is this: You can't get away from it. It is trying actively to fuck up everything it can touch, and while it will eventually fail (because it's fucking economic poison for whatever they infest), that doesn't change that it's going to be a massive pain in everyone's ass while it's there.

We've covered it in enough threads by now. But there's something else I noticed that's bothering the shit out of me and I thought I'd bring it up. Lately, upon closer inspection, it seems that, for reasons that I have yet to entirely understand, they seem to be actively at war with the concept of escapism.

We've all seen shit like [UNSOLICITED OPINIONS ON ISRAEL] and the above, which are great for fucking taking anyone out of the action, but it actually seems to be a problem endemic to these people. They constantly act like any media that they take offense to is causing real-life harm to someone someplace, because some anime harlot being eye-candy someplace is damaging women through processes they are neither willing nor able to properly explain, and they constantly try to act like if they take offense to it, it has no right to exist. This is when they're not acting like video game characters getting hurt or whatever is the same as hurting someone IRL.

What is it with SJWs trying to alienate the people who keep food on their table?
That's an easy one. It's a byproduct of the assumption that society "owes" them a living, and a lack of understanding that the public at large might choose to not support their efforts for whatever reason. That's why if you don't like their comic, it's not because it was shit, it's because YOU'RE MISOGYNIST! It's always the customer's fault that their pockets aren't bulging with cash.

This is why most economic discussions on their end flirt (or outright embrace) socialism. SJWs hate the idea that people have a choice in supporting them or not. It's yet another way the public can tell them that their argument is flawed, and that hurts the feefees.

From what I hear, Erica Henderson (the artist for Squirrel Girl) draws people (especially the women) ugly on purpose just to give the finger to the comic fans.

Not surprisingly, the fact that Squirrel Girl looks like she has five extra chromosomes is the specific reason I haven't been buying the book.

Seriously, what the fuck is this.

I'm not asking for her to look like a supermodel, I just want her to look like she wasn't a failed abortion.

He's sort of like Notch in that he made his fuck you money and now he can tell crybaby hipsters and other useless whiners to suck his dick and they can't do anything about it which makes them furious.

He doesn't seem to limit it to the left, if that Muslim tweet is any indication. He just deliberately pisses off whoever he is talking to at the moment.

I wonder how well that's working for her? Let's check the sales figures.

Wow. Chris, hold your head up high: the Sonichu comic book series has literally been read more than Unbeatable Squirrel Girl.

Small wonder that there's a contingent of comic SJWs trying to pull the Gamers are Dead gambit in comics right now.
Because that worked so well the first time.
Hope you brought booze, because here we fucking go again.:bluelabel:

You know that if these numbers were from some independent comic book company, then those numbers wouldn't be half bad, but this is Marvel we are talking about. So does anyone think Marvel will do the sensible thing and can Squirrel Girl once it goes under 10k readers?

Only if you apologise for double posting.

Marvel editor was bullied on the online so there was a bunch of backlash, apparently. Speak of the devil since the thread was just discussing this company

This "Look at this victim getting cyber bullied!" shit is getting so old. Why can't these people just act like adults and use that magical block button on people they don't want to see or hear? Seems to me like the beautiful thing to do would be to just to ignore people who send you shit and never bring it up. Acting like a gigantic pussy and having beta bald dudes with bad beards talk about your victimhood nonstop is only going to make people want to troll you harder because you are such a god damn pussy that you can't take it and need special snowflake hugs in order to get over your minor tweet burns.

Also, what's with the comic industry these days? I know Marvel thinks from the movie business and Disney that comic books somehow can now have a market base of hip young cool adults and not single lonely male nerds anymore, but that's some pretty retarded wishing. You ain't ever going to see a yuppie mom picking up a copy of squirrel girl after hitting the dog groomer while talking about how The Dark Knight Returns is the best comic ever with her girlfriends in the wine bar.
