Nah, even if I don't like the video, I like him a lot more when he isn't serious tbh.
It's a serious subject. If he wants to find people outside his niche audience willing to listen to his argument he needs to stay well away from creating outrage culture garbage. That's just stooping to the level of his detractors.

At this rate, they'll just censor themselves into obscurity. Twitter used to be one of the top three sites of the internet and they've been declining ever since they started throttling. It happened to LiveJournal, it can happen Youtube. It'd be too bad if they were stupid enough to really follow through on something this retarded considering they've been a staple of the internet for more than a decade.

It'd be great if everyone just moved over to Yahoo or Bing

Yahoo and Bing are complete shit, that's why nobody uses them. That'd be like using the AOL search engine.

True, but you got to remember, there's also next to no other options when it comes to search engines. And that's part of the problem with most of the alternatives out there- they're shit. But they're also the only other things we got besides attempts at becoming open source or lesser video streaming sites like Vimeo. And with Google/YouTube being the monopolies they are. No one wants to do that.

Which is why this could potentially backfire in Google and Zuckerberg's collective faces if they go through with these practices to get a quick buck. It's still way too early to tell what's going to happen.

While Jim's video was good, unfortunately his content seems to be attracting the crazies again; the comment section is a cesspool. I found multiple comment threads full of /pol/tards unironically spouting anti-Semitic propaganda.

There was one comment thread I skimmed yesterday that was really bad and populated by tinfoil hat-wearers, but ironically YouTube seems to have purged it. I couldn't find it when I went back today.

Anybody who unironically buys into the "a secret Jewish cabal runs the world" conspiracy theory is a lolcow. So are Holocaust deniers.

Jim said the same thing on Twitter: we need an open source social media.
If the Ethereum project and the technology catch on, we could be seeing fully distributed applications. The technology already exists, the project just now needs developers to adopt this nascent technologies to build the first distributed applications. A decentralized Youtube or facebook are good places to start.

I love when these same people who tend to follow race realism talk about ((((((((((((((dah jooz.))))))))))))))))))))

They talk about how important average IQ is and then get bitchy about how a group with a really high average IQ happens to be really successful and say it must be a conspiracy.

Also, FFS ya don't have to be a kike to love money and power.

Jim's a bit like Breitbart in that while he himself is relatively inoffensive (at least as far as people associated with the alt-right go) he attracts a very nasty crowd which can be readily found in any of his comments sections and unlike Sargon he has no interest in telling the nuttier factions to get lost.

It's because of his wild West mentality, telling the spergs to fuck off would taint the uncut quality of his comments or whatever.

"The Holocaust didn't happen!"
*Later complains that it didn't happen*

On the bright side, there's a bunch of spergs to make fun of.

The mentality of like 99% of Holocaust deniers boils down to "The Holocaust didn't happen, but here's why it should have."

I don't how they reconcile that with admiring Hitler, because if the Holocaust didn't happen, he failed at everything other than turning Germany into a smoking crater bombed to fuck by the entire rest of the world and got half of it occupied by Communists for the next half-century.

I don't think that Google will be able to police its search results enough to truly harm society. Setting aside the fact that there's so much there that you can't regulate it all, there's policy reasons too. Ironically enough it might be European regulations that keep it, at least, in check in regards to search. There's a bit of an argument to be made that sites like Google (and Youtube, which it was stupidly allowed to own,) which really do form the backbone of the internet for most users, act like- and can be regulated like- public utilities. That argument won't hold sway in America, at least not for awhile, but it really seems to be catching on among both the European bureaucracy and the dipshits who read their sensationalist newspapers. What happens on Facebook and Twitter matter less to me, Facebook especially. FB especially is a great way to talk to your friends but a horrible way to run a political network.

Having said all of that, the old decentralized internet still exists and people can still gravitate to it if they feel the need. And the more oppressive a social media site is to its users, the less appealing it becomes to them. There are ALWAYS sites nipping at their heels, trying to get in on the action, and those new sites typically take a very lax view towards moderation in their attempt to get any sort of audience. On top of that, the people who seek out sites with fewer rules tend to be more creative, more likely to make engaging or lasting content and more likely to attract an audience. Quality content, if done for long enough, always shines through and always lasts longer than weak sauce content.

Furthermore, shit changes fast online. People seem to have forgotten about "internet years" but that concept is still out there. We've seen Myspace rise and fall. We've seen Digg rise and fall. We've seen AOL and AIM rise and fall. We've seen Vine rise and fall. We've seen a time when people mentioned Linked.in right up there with Facebook and Twitter (why, exactly, anyone thought a site dedicated solely to finding a new job was going to be the next big thing is anyone's guess but there it is.) Users do have a choice to stay with or leave these sites and they make that choice all the time. Simply put, we have no idea what next year's Twitter is going to be and we have no idea what horrible fate awaits this year's.

Reminds me of AOL. Once AOL gave its users full internet access, suddenly their walled garden, regardless of how user-friendly it was, became massively unappealing. Suddenly, AOL isn't doing so hot.

Anyone who thinks any major internet-based company is too big to fail hasn't been paying attention.

It's impossible to ask questions about the Holocaust without being mocked in most places, it's even illegal to question the Holocaust in some countries. All the while anti-vaxxers get to spread their dogma which is killing people right now.

I think it's important for people to ask questions when it comes to historical events, because then they can become more informed and feel they are being told the truth. If you ignore talking about something, people think you have something to hide.

I'd like to ask questions about the Holocaust, but when the only people willing to discuss concerns with them without mocking them and chasing them off are Holocaust deniers and Neo Nazis, then do you wonder why people start to follow their lead?
