Point 4, "he never even uses the word 'woman'." It's because he's bisexual. He flirted with men, too. They just didn't come forward because IT'S WOMEN TIME ALL THE TIME and because they probably know it's not that serious.
Also, I don't recall anybody telling him to stop flirting, don't know where they got that from.

Wait nick had been with Polygon for 9 years? I dunno why but I got the impression he had only been at Polygon for a year or so as I thought the was the new video editor hire around a point where their youtube side picked up a bit of quality.

Regardless this was pretty much set in stone before the DM's came out. Even if he technically did nothing wrong per se (honestly he just needs some decent friends to teach him how to not drop his spaghetti around people he likes) - sadly this sort of thing tends to be how a person gets dragged deeper into the social justice cult. Find something that legit shames them, then tell them they can atone by being an activist or partaking in the next hunt.

Polygon isn't 9 years old. He's either autistic (given those pick up lines, it's likely) or he rewrote the sentence midway and didn't go back to fix it.

I have no idea who Ron Gibert is talking about.

I think he meant nine years on Twitter. His profile was created in September 2008.

Don't know if this is related, but DJgirldick out here with the true intentions...

apologize for your whiteness and your penis, Nick.
Apologizing to them is not enough to these people. Being fired and barred from an industry isn't either. Even if this guy was homeless and begging in the streets after being banned from all shelters (as well as from renting any apartments or buying houses) he still would not have suffered enough.
I'd be surprised if one of these people (or simply any SJW out there) didn't stalk this guy online, find who he was employed by next and simply call up his employer and tell them about this.
It's kind of strange how the same people who complain about fascism practice it themselves.

It's sort of reminiscent of the McCarthy era communist hunting. Black lists and witch hunts happen all the time.

Nick will be fine. He's likeable enough to have no problems finding work at a new outlet.

But "position of power" lol video games why does every game journalist think they hold any weight
I believe he's effectively blacklisted from corporate outlets for the immediate future, I think he'll become a YouTuber.

SJWs aren't doing a lot to dispossess me of the ideas that:

1) women with colorful hair are unstable
2) unstable women will try to retroactively ruin you over normal social interaction

And they wonder why guys aren't interested in dating girls these days, it's because they are worried even if you have natural colored hair, you might be between dye jobs. :P

And people ask me why I hate being a girl. This is why. Female sjw fucktards gaming the system to ruin a man's life over simple mistakes or bad decisions. The only solace is that at least most of these people will likely not do much with their lives.

I do know a lot of not hardcore sjws did take his apology as sincere. In about 6 months (much like with the Jontron debacle, as everyone forgot about it now) the vast majority of people will have forgotten. He will probably come back as a content creator for youtube/twitch since his personality is likeable. Teens and young adults who forgave him or didn't know what happen will follow him and he will be fine. A nice segway into getting a job back in the industry in about a year.

I wish for the best for you dude. Just turn full gay and you will likely never have this problem again.

Also, I'd like to add that over the last week I listened to MBMBaM and Griffin says some pretty fucked up shit. Granted I heard he made an apology about slamming furries but the point still stands. Holding Griffin to a pedestal is dumb. He doesn't seem like a bad person, much like Nick, but for some reason he is treated as lord of the soft boys and forgiven for all crimes. (probably helps that he is married though)

Edit: I know it doesn't go with his personality much but it would be funny if Nick went full Red Pill or MGTOW.

When it comes to news in the 21st century, the topic that I'm continually unable to comprehend is "video game journalism". I've been playing games my whole life, but I can't understand why gaming topics are spoken of as "news" and the people who write about them "journalists". Video games are a hobby, and the entire point of a hobby is that it's disconnected from the real world. No one is going to find a sex scandal in the action figure collecting realm, and CNN is not going to have a multipart series on "Ethics in Model Train Journalism". Why, because just like video games, those things are just ways to have fun when you aren't working, paying bills, or going to school.

This is why every one of these stories seems like the plot of a failed Saturday Morning Cartoon... I'm literally watching an entire planet go apeshit over something that would be completely unimportant if the people involved didn't INSIST they were important. Game Journalists and YouTubers think they can become important just by claiming they are so... and somehow, it works.

Bitch, you play games. So do I. So do lots of people. Writing a review of a game doesn't make you a "journalist" any more than blogging about the new garden plants at Home Depot would.

A single article on a popular video game news site can make or break your indie game.
Which still doesn't make it "journalism". Journalism is publishing information that protects people from the government, corporation and (to an extent) each other. No one needs "protecting" from a shitty game. It's just not on the same level of importance.

You aren't a journalist, you're a reviewer. Live with it.
