RE: "How come other youtubers and twitch streamers can beg for money but DSP can't?"
There are no other personalities who e-beg as fucking tastelessly as DSP. Even if there were, that doesn't change the fact that DSP does it. I hate stupid arguments like this.

I don't think he realizes how much it damages his brand. Maybe in the short term he can cash-out with some of his hardcore supporters, but success or at least the illusion of success can be important. People generally don't like watching people they view as pathetic and it's just a fucking downer to hear about how he's always on the verge of his life being destroyed. A lot of people will have had financial problems at some point in their life and that shit is really stressful and people watch Youtube videos much of the time to get away from stress. Between his awful reputation, the constant banning of people for little reason because he thinks they're detractors, and this negative vibe he's completely stifling his growth.

The only reason he was popular to begin with was because he got in on this when there wasn't much competition. Now though you're right and his fans aren't doing him any favors by supporting him and it's just going to make it harder to adjust to actual work. This is a guy who has said he thinks getting groceries is exercise and seems to think playing video games is hard work so god help him when he has to finally get a real job.

Keem is a lolcow

yeah but it would be funny as hell if keem publicly tweeted DSP to donate

A great example on why the TKHO forums are the most toxic forum about video gaming and twitch streaming:

- OP makes a solid point, at least he does it in a way that is not right out insulting. It however contains critic about Phil and therefore the thread is already doomed.
- One TKOH regular, Meteo in this case, instantly comes up with a bullshit defense because other Twitch streamers beg as well. That doesn't make Phil a better person if he does it during Twitch streams. The argument is instantly used to derail the thread.
- Another user shows up and derails the thread further. Notice this derailing will be used against the OP no matter how solid his argument is. If you criticize Phil in any shape, the TKOH attack force (Sammy Samosa, hardcoreparkour and some others) will derail the thread on purpose, knowing they will get away.
- Finally, a third user appears and calls the OP by a different name, implying that OP is a sock account. This also happens a lot and almost every new user is suspicious being a sock another of one of the many banned users. Getting banned on TKOH is no hard achievement, honestly.

The only thing that this thread is missing is it getting closed without explanation by a mod and then re-opened by Phil who writes a text wall explaining why the OP is an idiot and why everybody disagreeing with him is a moron before closing the thread again. It is too easy for him to ensure having the last word rather than leaving the thread open. It's also possible that mods will delete the thread and ban the user before Phil shows up.

That's TKOH forum in a nutshell. Hundreds of users have been banned no matter what intentions they had and the Patreon donators stay in the forum and can get away without any punishment.

Update:
Any video which is at all negative about DSP is a "detractor video":

Reactions: Stay safe
DSP has always been horribly uninformed about events, news which would be of interest to his source of income (some may call it "job"), he can't go to PAX and nothing this slow-witted oaf is interested in happens on PAX. So there you go, another salty tweet.

Also: "Donate me Destiny 2"

Saw this "Fanart" the first time and I couldn't stop laughing. Phil Fucking Burnell at Omaha Beach. He got very far on the beach and he even helps a brother-in-arms rather than getting mowed down instantly or hiding behind corpses.
Sounds accurate

What's up with ending every other sentence with 'lol'?

Sometimes it's just a nervous tick older online users have.

In Phil's case, it's more likely a defense mechanism that allows Phil to double-back and claim "I'm not actually mad I just find this amusing" or "it was just a joke!" if things ever get too heated. He often fakes laughter when reading/dealing with troll donations/questions/&c. so I'm assuming this is just an extension of that behavior.

DSP being the cockroach that he is, would either hide somewhere on the ship before he would be put on one of the landing vehicles, or he'd play dead in the water for the whole day of operation overlord.

edit:
>off topic
It's his fanart showing him on Omaha beach. Idk in what world would that be off topic

DarksydePhil: "do the bare minimum for maximum profits"

I thought someone offered him a free copy of Destiny 2 on Xbone. Was that offer rescinded?

Also, the PC version of Destiny 2 was in beta this past week. It received acclaim from all over for being an extremely solid version of the game in a time when making PC versions of console lead games usually results in absolutely awful experiences for PC players. There were people using shit like $60 Intel processors and still getting at least 60 frames a second at 1080p. Consoles not having the horsepower to run the game like that seems to still be a problem with outdated hardware holding the games back; whereas the folks who worked on the PC version of Destiny 2 seem to have done one hell of a job. It's not really a port in the strictest sense, since it was developed in parallel with the console version; but I honestly can't think of another new console-to-PC conversion that has run this well for seemingly everyone in recent memory.
