Something tells me he likely wrote off games as a 'work' expense. Just two games a month at $60 a comes out to $1440 a year. And that's not including any controllers or equipment he might have tried to put on taxes. How many years did he call this a business, again? I think he's aware his crisis is a long burn, and any pity money won't even dent it now.

Unless you have some proof this is some roleplay tier fantasy sperging and your "Friend in lending" is risking his job to satisfy some re,tards on the internet. I find it really hard to believe he has 300k in debt too and it's fun to imagine otherwise
$200k house, what payment is left on the condo, the BMW, his new car, etc. I can see it adding up. Doesn't mean it's true though.

Probably, but someone coming in here saying they have DEEP CONNECTIONS IN THE MORTGAGE INDUSTRY GUYS is autism tier retarded in an industry where poking around in someone elses' files gets your ass fired in a heartbeat

Phil usually gets the mail after dinner so he wouldn't have seen the letter from IRS until last night. I think the time off in October was genuinely just to relax. If you're self employed how do you not save every receipt even eating out? You just have to. IDK if Phil does or not but if not he's fucked. Maybe buying the car the IRS was like "whoa wait a minute, where did that money come from?"

Well given that Onision has been audited, it may just be the IRS is having a field day with YouTubers.

I assume if you owe up to $300k in tax, then your spending over the past 3 years would have to amount to well over a million USD (assuming the tax write offs are like 30% of what was spent?)

Is that correct? If that is correct, then there is no way in hell that its Phil.

Not exactly but you are on the right track. Phil's debt to equity ratio is appalling. His Condo in Connecticut still has close to if not more than 100k left to pay off. The house in Seattle, I would assume, is the where the bulk of his debt is. My guess is that him financing the car and likely putting it down as a business expense drew red flags, but thats just my assumption.

Not necessarily. He isn't disclosing anything personal about Phil, You can find public records of debts. He isn't telling me anything that phil did nor is he telling me why he is screwed over. Just that he is in a bad way, and that if he doesn't increase his income or sell his assets he is in trouble. That's really not anything we didn't know.

Onision is true fraud. He is fine. He has three houses, two completely paid off, two teslas, and numerous assets. He just doesn't want to have to downgrade his lifestyle. But he is 100% full of shit.

It's either a degenerative disc condition or a flag football injury. Phil has told at least these two versions.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKjhk5Z_Ai0

I think the degenerative thing was half debunked- constant movement agitates the hell out of it, and Phil fidgets a lot on his vlogs. Bone on bone pain isn't something you just mention every blue moon.

But yes I agree that putting that out there is probably not a good move and adds more speculation on my part and I'll delete the comment, sorry about that.

Apparently his begging did not work he lost a patreon today (last time i checked yesterday he had 180 patrons, now he has 179 and is sitting in 851)
You really have to just look at Twitch at this point it is where his pity bucks come in now. Some think he was going to make $5,000 this month before this mystery problem. He actually said money can't help him now unless he wins the lottery or an oil baron from Abu Dhabi bails him out. This vlog was all over the fucking place.

Watch someone donate an insane amount of money and this problem disappear in a week or two just in time for Phil to take off in October. Phil has played this game too many fucking times. Until there is hard proof or he is back streaming in Connecticut it can't be taken as truth.

Can someone who knows more about tax clarify if this is true or not before it gets buried?

He's right here. All mortgage debts are usually public information that's offered through the local Registry of Deeds.

I honestly don't think anything different happened. Phil just likely didn't plan long term and his move and new car have completely destroyed his immediate financial settings, filed his taxes wrong, got audited and the IRS is threatening him with some sort of action. But to say that Phil is fine and that this is all a fraud is pretty negligent at this point. The man is completely alone, is putting on a lot of excess weight very quickly, is completely relying on tips from viewers at this point to survive. His Patreon money is sinking, his Youtube revenue is a joke, and his cult is the only thing consistently providing income.

My reckless speculation is not an IRS audit. He claims to have a good accountant and no accountant worth their salt would take crazy deductions like the entire house. Now his accountant could be turbo tax and they'll let you claim the moon as a deduction.

My speculation is a condo association assessment. He's brought up the condo association in his mentioning of "board meetings" as well as saying that he "had" to powerwash his driveway. Its possible the assessment is to seal the driveways, which is an expensive assessment. Could be a repaving of the driveways which is even more expensive.
This could also be the "notice" he mentioned. Assessments are given notice and you're given a small amount of time to come up with the cash for the assessment. If he does not pay the assessment, he can lose his house. Expensive assessments are a common reason other than forclosure for condo owners like Phil to lose their homes.
It would fill the bill of "nothing he could do" and "not his fault". He's been living in this condo for quite some time and no mention of an assessment previously which is unusual for a condo to go so long without even a minor assessment.

If he wasn't such a dick i'd feel bad for him

He blames the SOK so much but in reality they didn't make him move when he probably has a couple hundred thousand in bank and spend it all on dumb shit. They also didn't make him screw over his friends to buy a BMW.

They also didn't make the IRS audit him or whatever hell is going on. I wonder if people in washington get audited more cause they don't pay income tax so IRS wants their cut.
