Honestly, I get the feeling that even if he officially had his 4th place title revoked he'd still cling on to it, call EVO a bunch of morons and tell them they're wrong because the results say he got 4th place

He wouldn't let go of it just because someone else did, even if that someone are the people running EVO

I opened Twitch just to see, and that was the first thing I heard. What genre game is his claim to fame again? I try not to get too annoyed when Phil says, well, anything, so I guess I can only find it sad that despite being a Pro Fighting Game Player (tm), he can't handle the mechanical differences between SFII:ST and literally every other fighting game released since.

He's also using Thanos alot I'm seeing? Is that like picking Akuma in SF? Or like how LTG doesn't play low tier anything? I get the vibe he's playing what he thinks to be the most broken character and/or the Gief clone.

I don't think I'll ever go back to Phil's stream. I felt the pull of his charismatic personality and was moments from making one of those detractor -->sycophant transitions.

j/k...I'd rather watch an 85 year old toothless man eat tapioca pudding on a continuous loop for 2 hours.

He was telling people there was no way to break combos, people in chat were basically explaining how he is wrong about that and trying to explain that you could. Someone in chat said: " Can someone please cheer or tip Phil so he knows he can break combos" I ducked out after that for a little bit.

I work in liberal media and we are fucking wide ass awake all through the night on weekends. Like, 15-20 hour shifts on Saturdays. I know my job isn't "physical", but I know hard work. This fucknut has never worked a day in his life.

Tiers are not confirmed yet, give it a month (if MVC: I is still around). Phil is usually not a tier-whore in fighters. Excluding his use of Vega (AKA Claw) in ST. I can't think of any other fighter where he exclusively used top tier.

Edit: if anything he's a contrarian when he plays other fighters and he likes to use mid or low tier characters. Then he bitches when he loses with said mid-low tier.

I'd just like to share this little chestnut.

Uhm, Super Turbo had Touch of Death combos and combos that did insane damage and lead to stun.

When Vega does that attack and it lands, he can do it again and it's a 50/50 guess. It's very easy to win with just this one attack. I'm terrible at ST and even I could do it.

Not to mention that Marvel 2, another game he played the fuck out of, has long combos and is reset city if you're fighting Magneto.

He may have the early stages of Alzheimers.

The EVO 4th place finish is a vital component of his sense of self. That, and his ability to make a terrible mockery of meatballs and tomato sauce. His business was the third part of the Triforce of 'Tism that is his self-image, but he's been disavowing that lately, so what's left? His hardcore e-begging?
