Unpopular opinions about food

Even then, oil and vinegar depends on the salad...

I should also mention another quirk of mine loving sauerkraut to the point of eating it plain. A lot of my family does that too since we all aquired the taste so it isn't seen as odd unless I am around others.

Also, pop really hurts my throat so I don't drink it except very, very, very rarely and even then...

I do not care much for pickles (shut up)
Sir Pikonic finds this odd that as a girl I
A) don't like pickles
B) am not crazy obsessed with eating pickles.

I think sushi is overrated and slightly gross and my friends hate me for it.
I also don't really like Italian food which goes against all that is holy on my mother's side of the family.
I can't stand raw tomatoes or celery. If I taste them in a wrap or salad, it makes it unbearable for me. I really want to like tomatoes because they seem so inoffensive, but I just can't. They literally give me the prickly-wicklies. :heart-empty:

If I were to go through a list of foods I'm afraid of, we'd be here forever.

I mean, nuts okay by themselves, but give me anything with nuts in it, and I'd make such a big scene.

I've lived my entire life having a disdain for ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, basically any sauce that isn't butter.

Same with spices. When I eat a heavily spiced food, a "mist" is created inside my mouth, and it drives me crazy. I have a crazy story involving a Filet Mignon.

I find the idea of putting cheese on broccoli to be kinda gross. I prefer my broccoli with lemon juice, mixed in a dish such as in an Asian-style stir-fry, or even plain, but with cheese it skeeves me out, even though many people I know seem to enjoy cheese sauce on their broccoli. Mac and cheese also grosses me out, even though many of my friends and family enjoy it.

I'm interested to know. What happened?

I actually figured out stuff I don't like that's an unpopular opinion. Butter on toast. It soaks in and gets all soggy and shitty, no thanks, I'll eat a tucked fried egg on mine with Tabasco. Also, I don't like fried rice on a combo Chinese plate. I like the sauces from the entree to soak into the white rice, who needs fried when you've got sauce? The flavors just get all muddled.

I don't like fish. I've tried it, didn't like it.
Albeit I like shrimp and scallops, where the flavor is different. I think I like grilled shrimp the best.

I don't eat lunch meat--too many preservatives, and it never tasted good to me.

I'm a huge vegetable nut, though, and I love them when they are fresh raw. The only vegetable I refuse to eat cooked, though, are carrots because the flavor is different when you cook them.

I don't like eating chicken: I don't like the feeling when you bite into bone or gristle.

Now, I hope I don't sound like a picky eater. It's just I know what I like, and I've tried foods before I've made a decision. I know picky eaters--well I know one (my little sister still eats like she's five, she barely even eats vegetables or takes risks).

I dint like the texture of raw tomatoes or celery. I'm also not a fan of cucumbers that aren't pickles or iceberg lettuce. The funny thing is that I like almost any other kind of green's and love salads as long as I can mmake them my self with romain lettuce, spinach or dandyllions.

When I was really young my sister introduced me to sushi.

Specifically she gave me a little wasabi and bet me 5$ to eat the entirety of it.

Of course she didn't pony up because she was like 11 at the time, and it was among the most disgusting things I've ever tasted. Since that horrible memory I've disdained sushi quite a lot. To the point where I've gone to sushi restaurants and not ordered anything but water because of it.

Also fuck samosas. Srsly.

I absolutely fucking hate bananas. Can't stand the bastards. They sexually assault my soul and such.

Oh and 'shrooms! Couldn't eat mushrooms ever since I got sick from one as a babby. Spaghetti also just doesn't do it for me. Other then this I eat everything. EVERYTHING. :tomgirl:

I'm majorly OCD about my fries getting the "Tomato sauce" that baked beans come in on them. Put them on oppisite sides of the plate. It's not rocket science.
