Yeah, it's not super amazing or anything compared to some international places (idk im not a diver) but its right in his back yard (just like the weeds and mold that he never clears off)

I doubt even if he went on holidays internationally that he'd make use of anything. His staycation concept was pretty miserable all things considered.

Since you mention that, I became curious just how many of DSP's 24.9K Twitter followers are fake.
Thus, I ran a little audit which I did not hand count verify but take the results as you will.

Just keep in mind when it comes to Twitter follower 'bots' and YouTube subscriber 'bots' a lot of these aren't malicious on the part of the channel/account owner but rather spambot networks that follow popular people in order to try and make accounts look legit.

Hello you beautiful lolcowboys. Just wanted to introduce myself as - after weeks and weeks of lurking - I may throw a line or two into this thread every now and then.

I kinda stumbled over DSP ca. 2009, when I was looking for a day 1 video walkthrough of Atari's Ghostbusters. By that time he was kinda ok to watch imo. He already did his trademark snort 'n burp, the creepy laughter was also already in place, but back then I found that... well, "manageable" (or tolerable at least). This changed in the two years after and with the rise of several other LP-channels, I took my leave from DSP. Now several months ago I looked up his channel again for the Ghostbusters walkthrough (nostalgica olé). A few wtfs later I tried google. ... ... ... Hoo boy, seems I missed a halluva lot of stuff like Pandalee, Phils wrecked friendship with JR, his move to Renton, the decline of his totally-not-a-business, the racial slurs, the SOK controversy, the white knight social media wars, the e-beggin'... and then I found Kiwi Farms, where all information about his drama could be looked up nice and easy. I take a bow to your commitment gals and gents.

back on topic: while I do not wish Phil Burnell real ill, I do hope that his shenanigans (especially him ripping of his supporters) will come to an end soon. I find it infuriating and personally offensive that a grown man complains about his hard, hard job, while all he really does is playing games and use social media for a living. All while making good money of his totally-not-a-business in this time and age, while elsewhere left and right people struggle to make ends meet though juggling two (or even more) jobs. That he is immune to advise and refuses to make the necessary adjustments in his life(style) so he can thrive on his momentary income without e-beggin' makes it even worse.

As for the momentary crisis: I go with the HOA-scenario (while having the raise of mortgage interest as a backburner). Both have not been denied by him as far as I read, so that may be the safest bet atm. That said, it also could be simply... nothing. Like so often before.

There you have it, my unrequested 20 bitcoins to the saddening state of Phil Burnell. Let's see how this will all work out, will we?

I would think that his constant hacking, gouting, and wheezing would make scuba diving impossible. It's almost like hearing DSP lament about being unable to climb Mt. Everest or something.

I somehow don't think spambots following Phil makes the legitimacy questionable.

Someone should write a fanfic about the triangle between Phil, Venomous, and Vidar already. A guy that gives him thousands of $$$, but gets overlooked by a guy that throws matches? The tension writes itself.

EDIT:
  • Mentions that he's still wanting Tips because he's waiting for his big Twitch paycheck in mid October and he wants to get there by not having to overdraw his bank account.
