It was easy to ignore from tumblr and reddit, but being accused of trying to harm my sister by these special people en masse is honestly starting to get to me.
I didn't dox or harass her. I would have given anything to help her - you can see that yourself in the thread (https://kiwifarms.net/threads/terry-rose-christo-theresa-christodoulopoulos-tara-gilesbie.34690/).
My sister made up bullshit about me to sell a book, thereby going full lolcow. I happened to be a long-time member of a lolcow-watching forum.
Who else would hear me out? Not these media outlets (including vox); they never replied to my e-mails.
Fuck it. I'm repeating myself and preaching to the choir now.

And here we have the inherent problem with the entire culture of tolerance and acceptance. Anything you say that directly confronts the presented narrative of anyone's story, claim or position is considered either Hate Speech or Harassment.
Without the social correcting mechanism of criticism and critical thinking, like a spinning top, it will soon fall over under it's own increasingly erratic spin.

It's a shame that newspapers have to adhere to their audiences in order to receive revenue. If they begin to explore viewpoints that their audience doesn't like, they'll just move to another website that gives them the information they want.
That being said, it is satisfying to see the tumblrinas realize that they are not as powerful as they thought. So confident that their cake of layers upon layers of ommissions, exaggerations, and fabrications will remain sturdy, as soon as any newspage does anything as minor as to cite a source that has questioned their opinions, they become morally indignant.
As soon as they begin to that they might not be the "shining beacon of progress", they lash out and accuse bias even at screencaps on her own Facebook page, hoping to scare Vox into taking down the article, so that they can feel secure in their power. Only more salt will come if Vox keeps the article up.
Nobody would be ranting like this if the author had just grabbed the screen caps by himself, which says a lot about the bias and ulterior motives of these ranters.

Must be a slow news day for Vox.
I love how anytime kiwifarms is brought up, people automatically jump to "muh tranz" as a scapegoat reason we exist. Like we single out trannies on purpose and the individual doesn't just happen to be enthusiasticly cringy AND a troon.
I only remember them from when site went down after Null's family was doxed, and this person was singing praises to transgod like they helped or something. Did we ever confirm who it was?

Quite a few cows are (alleged, sometimes admitted) criminals, including and especially some of the deepest knots in the Ratking. I'm frankly astonished kiwi's independent research™ hasn't been leveraged more frequently.
Well, I would be astonished. It's not too hard to guess why SPLC went after a far-right Cow- it just happened to fall in their purview.

They're REEEEEEing like Vox presented a glowing endorsement of the Farms themselves instead of just telling the plain fucking facts about what went down where. No intellectually honest human being could compare what's written in the Vox article to the shit fits being thrown on Twitter and conclude that these people are remotely sane, but I'm pretty sure the entirely concept of "neutrally reported objective fact" is seriously considered ableist and racist these days.

I think what I love the most about this is that they're not exactly citing Kiwifarms as being a repository of actual facts they're merely citing us as the source of a thread that is entirely relevant to the events described by the article in question.
