Fun fact, melting servers was a major plot point in Summer Wars and believe it or not, it was actually more exceptional. It's probably where he got the idea.

Even if he could do that and took the opportunity, the servers wouldn't catch fire, they'd shut off to prevent damage from overheating because that's a feature that all motherboards have.

We can add computer literacy to the list of things he cannot do.

To be fair, Summer Wars' plot in the servers frying was actually more due to external heat ("This is the hottest summer we've had in years") than someone hacking and melting/the servers tanking due to self inflicted heat. Can't shut off the sun.

Still kind of silly, but it even that makes more sense than his 'plan'.

That's not at all what happened, they set up a giant server without any internal cooling mechanisms such as water cooling, fans and possibly not even a heatsink. They kept it cool by setting up blocks of ice adjacent to it in its own room, then the family cop (I don't know any of their names because there's a billion characters in that family) carried them off one by one to keep the grandma's corpse cold. The server really did just melt itself, a blast of concentrated heat blew out the doors when they went to check on it. It literally melted from internal heat. Not to mention how stupid it is that this billionaire family with tech geniuses in it decided to cool a room using blocks of ice instead of air conditioners like any pleb on the street would. Air conditioners don't melt.

That movie is legitimately retarded.
