There were things in her original FB post which should have made people cautious (her comment about just wanting to go home, for one - why didn't she, unless Tyler was paying for everything and she didn't even have the money to leave the hotel and go home), but who needs to wait for further information when there are pitchforks to be grabbed?

/v/ started banning meta threads using GR8 abuse, too. 4chan needs a moderator purge, but the owner is more or less uninvolved with the day-to-day and any attempts to clean house on the moderation has to go through the moderation, which makes it difficult to do.

A random furry threatening suicide is mundane by GAF standards. I have no idea why of all users, Brian was the one that 8ch targeted. Not while the site was full of people openly admitting to and encouraging medical malpractice, people pushing for SSNs to be tied to online accounts, and users like Lime, Crossing_Eden, and Besada among others.

I'm going to dissent on one point. Had Jason written this, he would have had a very clear bias, given he posted there. Handing it off to someone without that bias was actually wise.

Now the only question is why she painted him in such a bad light, or rather what their falling out was over.

Still, NeoGAF exploding over the flaw with 'listen and believe' is just about the most appropriate thing that could have happened.
