Even Doug and CA rip on the Melvin Sketch, they actually re-released it in Nostalgiaween 2015 after its initial upload in 2013, selling it as "Dougs worst ever sketch".

I suspect that quite a lot of jokes have to pass by Rob or his Dad these days as Doug really feels like Lucas when watching that sketch.

I think this is a good time to compare and contrast the critics:

This is an early episode for Lupa so I'll excuse the terrible video quality.

Compare Lupa to actual filmmakers like the RLM crew. They didn't cover the entire film and didn't show every highlight like the obese vampire Hulk. But them noticing all the technical flaws and how the filmmakers made the movie makes it more interesting. Especially when they point out the shitty guards on the knives.

I remember when Mike Michaud announced BarFiesta back in 2009. From the start, I knew the project would fail miserably because it wasn't conceived with any demographic research. Did he really think he could market clubbing to an audience of autists who didn't even have driver's permits, much less licenses? Imagine the hijinks if a TGWTG fan tried getting hip in the clubs after watching a few episodes of BarFiesta

Here is the new Critic video, Make what you will of this.
You can always tell when he ran out of things to say about a movie because he has to resort to repeating the same talking points over and over in the form of running "gags."

Most people would take that as a sign that there's not enough material to make a full review about it (hell, Cinemassacre summed it up in two sentences when covering the history of the Mummy franchise) and move on to another film, but not Doug.

You'd think that would turn his attention to recent Mummy movie if that were the case. There's a smorgasbord of material in that piece of shit.

Well, let's see if this shit was worth it...
Most of what this video touched on was basically what I expected it would, but it could've been a lot worse. Although some subjects could've been handled better.

I definitely wish he'd have expanded more upon the Linkara plagiarism allegations, for starters. I also wish, in discussing the Iron Liz situation, he would've mentioned that their breakup was partly due to the fact that Lewis protested Liz's desires to get bottom surgery, because "wow, he saw her as a 'woman' but didn't respect her right to get rid of her cock?" is much more scandalous/fucked up/funny than just "haha he dated a tranny".

The video's conclusion, the discussion on kids of the future feeling nostalgic for Channel Awesome, was shockingly apt though. Hell, there's young adults right now who feel nostalgic about CA, like "man, those goofy videos were my life in middle school", etc. And it's weird to think about.

Iron Liz seems like a decent person, so I guess the Internet Metokur didn’t want to belabor the point.
