I'll dump the most obvious stuff I could come across, but don't have a lot of time at present to devote to digging into his lengthy past in the furfag kingdoms. Starting this thread because I noticed there was nothing about him yet aside from mentions in random spots on KF, most recently the post where I found out he's suing IMVU and FurAffinity. This guy has been active for decades, so we likely have a lot to play with here. UPDATE 05/18/2018 The lawsuit has begun, it seems.

Updated the OP with a newer picture of him, and with an archive of his author profile on TechRaptor.

He was cited by a pony buddy/altfurry/altbrony(too many labels, christ) as a source during the RMFC fallout because he's a 'journalist'. Also funny is Roy in that thread complaining the ponyfag dropped the information early.

Roy was a laughingstock again more recently, because he was quite vocal about being banned from FurAffinity(likely why he started the lawsuit plans). He later realized he was banned because he did a stupid thing.

Can anyone find out his height? That's a pretty simple way to ascertain if he actually was in the US Army.

Treadheads have a strict height limit. If you're over 6'1 (185cm) you're SOL, IIRC. He claimed to have been 3rd Armored Cavalry.

This is why the claim bothers me and seems like a fabrication:

1.) 3rd ACR was a fairly important unit in the Gulf War, which is when he claimed to have served. Given the approximate age, he would've been in his early 20s in Desert Storm, so that would line up.

2.) He claims to have crewed the Abrams, which seems like an obvious choice for the uneducated poser. After all, big gun and a big boom so it's impressive. It would betray him as someone who didn't even bother to do a cursory reading on the battles the 3rd ACR was involved in, or any coalition unit for that matter. Simply put, the Abrams didn't destroy as much enemy armor as did the M2 Bradley fighting vehicle. So if he was an Abrams guy in the Gulf War, it means he probably saw pretty tracers in his NVGs, but that's about it. It's important to note that the modern 3rd ACR, now just 3rd Cavalry, doesn't have the Abrams anymore. It's a Stryker unit. However, during the Gulf War, it did. So at least that claim would also be correct.

3.) Stolen Valor cuntwrinkles are usually very quick to cry litigious threats. Calbeck sure does love to cry SUE SUE SUE! whenever he's slighted online.

4.) There was another unit with a similar name, the 3rd Armored Division. The distinction is important as both units were under different commands and saw action in different areas. This is something that would very easily betray him as a liar. A particularly wicked firefight occurred on the 26th-27th of February, 1991. It's called the Battle of 73 Easting. It was one of the most lopsided victories in history with 1,000+ Iraqi Republican Guard KIA and only a single Coalition force KIA. 3rd Armored Division took part in this battle, not the 3rd ACR. If he claims he took part in 73 Easting, he's outright lying. In fact, the Abrams crews in the 3rd ACR saw little combat, while their Bradley assets saw a lot of action.

This is a very rough and skin deep assessment about his claims of service. By no measure am I saying he is a liar about his service. He very well could have. This is just a quick examination of him stating he was in Desert Shield/Desert Storm, part of the 3rd ACR, and crewing an M1A1. If you have the height and you're willing, becoming an Abrams tanker isn't too high of a hurdle for most. These are just things that stand out to me as someone with applicable experience.

I just usually find suspicion when someone claims to have taken part in such a pivotal military operation. Many lolcows will claim service to be internet tough after all. I've seen geeks claim they were 75th Rangers and were at Mogadishu in '93, yet can't even pony up a DD214.

He absolutely would. He's a bottom feeding peon that can only bite at the ankles of people who are slightly his better.

Ineptitude and ignorance of how civil and small claims litigation works always damns a plaintiff. It's why we have lawyers, funnily enough. So, if someone wants to hold an attorney at the ready over someone calling him a faggot on the internet, then it'd be a hilarious way to cost him money.

According to the dockets, he represented himself in the Malcomson v. Topps case. He paid for the appeal at the 9th Circuit. And he tried to take it all the way to the Supreme Court.

The kind of guy who cares enough about veterans so they're not offended, but not enough to see VA receive better funding and staffing or for foreign policy to reflect more intelligent judgement on the part of our lawmakers.
