When I took her to get her shots, I asked them about it and in the state of Kentucky they have to be closer to 1 years than not.

In case anyone's curious that's a load of old hogshit, Kentucky has no laws in place regarding sterilization. They were even too lazy to legally define it. She pulled that nonsense right out of her ass.

I don't want to powerlevel but I work in the industry and it's max. 6 months for high standard vets with some shelters and less reputable vets going as low as 2 months (mostly to make sure that people who buy cute KITTUNS don't get lazy and let their cats breed once they stop being cute.)

I highly doubt any vet would turn away someone with a 6 month old female cat amd tell them to come back when she's "nearly a year old". She must almost be a year old by now anyway.

It's generally safe to have kittens as young as 8 weeks spayed or neutered, as long as they weigh at least two pounds. Either Amber is lying (likely) or the vet she took her to was an idiot (unlikely). Any cat I have ever had was fixed by the time they were 6 months old.

I suppose it's too optimistic to think Eric or his husband could see the light more [quickly] and "leave a door open" so the cats could "find a way" back to a better home? Thinking of them rotting in the basement to appease Al' s ego is terrible.
