A bit :offtopic: but... is there a Julay 2.0?... is it the helicopter blow-up doll or am I missing something?

No problem. Chris' weird headcanons are already a massive WTF-laden katamari ball of batshit, figured I could something to help make a little of it make sense in reference if not in the sense Chris has bastardized it for his own purposes.

I can't imagine Chris getting really into the series beyond the anime and like an hour or two of the games. He's never been big on RPGs and (most) of the games are grindy as fuck and require SOME degree of strategy.

If he uses the DLC (and you know how he spends money, of course he will), they basically murder the difficulty and let you sleepwalk through the games, so it's not impossible to believe he'd play them all the way through at least once.

My only question: is there anything analogous to Sonic’s arms becoming blue that could set Chris off, perhaps even more so since he’s so strongly emeshed in the fantasy of...whatever the hell this waifu anime/vidya is?

They change character designs regularly, so I doubt it. There's enough minor differences between each game that there's no one insignificant change that would set off Chris's autism. The whole "Hyperdimension" bit basically means they don't have to bother themselves with inconsistencies because it's explained away as parallel universes.

Now to be fair Sonic somewhat did that to with Boom and he still lost what little of it he ever had. But you're right they do switch up the Super/Hyper and Ultra dimensions designs a bit the only real big changes are the spin offs, on top of the in game customization I don't think he'll care as long as he has tits to look at.

That would be amazing if it gave us Classic Chris back, even for just a few times. But unfortunately I would not count on it.

They do minor redesigns in some of the games, but there's almost no continuity between games really (the second game pretty much retcons the first entirely for example) and a lot of alternate dimension fuckery that makes it easy to write off.
