This whole 'issue' has been the drama trigger du jour of Furry Twitter. The real issue is that people have been taking BDSM 'pup play' gear: rubber masks, rubber/PVC bondage gear/plug tails and so forth, and wearing it openly at cons. There's an ongoing discussion about whether wearing blatant bondage gear is 'okay' and if the whole thing is furry at all. The practicioners of the 'art' like Koji here have been going nuts trying to turn it into a social justice issue.
