Bad Cosplay - Thots, weebs, and wannabes

What's even more hilarious is some of them like to think themselves as sex workers for some reason? Either you're a dumb nerd playing make believe for a few hours or a garden variety cam hoe. You can't have both.

But they do think that.

:powerlevel:I’ll probably sound a bit like an SJW here but why do so many girls cosplay as D.VA when they don’t look in anyway Korean.
It’s like the character grew a few inches taller and had a reverse nosejob done whenever I see one.

Wouldn’t it be easier to cosplay a character that looks more similar to you? I can understand people who actually like the character wanting to dress up as them but why do thots not realise that their schnozzola is quite jarring?:powerlevel:

Because cosplay isn't about looking like the character or the crafting aspect of building a costume, it's about wearing the cheapest Aliexpress ready-made costume and attention seeking.

Cosplay is all about dressing up like a slutty version of the character and then reeeeeing about it when a nerd you'd never give the time of day to looks at you.

To piggy back off Varg

Even within the cosplay community its a noted thing that people go after certain characters because they are seen as super entry low effort basic bitch tier. Like these are some of the pics shared in those circles.

Edit: That and a lot of them claim to do MUH THICC interpretations of characters mostly because they are just fat and cannot be bothered to self improve, or they want the thirsty chubby chaser donations. See Momokun

That reminds me of years ago when I was at a con with a group of friends, and one of them was dressed up in a leather catsuit. A cute guy was basically talking to her boobs the entire time. Then his far less cute friends showed up and started oogling her and she suddenly went "ugh those creepy guys are looking at my boobs!" and ran off. LOL

Do you get annoyed when white people cosplay as anime characters? It’s retarded to fret over stuff like that.

Characters like D.Va are very well known. You're just more likely to get a metric fuck load cosplays of D. Va then say Khan from Metro 2033 or Riesbyfe Stridberg from Melty Blood.

Because D.VA is just more well know and to be frank easier to half ass. The very act of her being popular means there are plenty of shitty knock off costumes/props to get on ebay. Just get that, paint on some horrible cat whiskers and call it a day. I would just argue its the nature of the beast.

Black Gai is the best cosplayer, hands down.

On the subject of famous cosplayers, who remembers Man-Faye? He was a Cowboy Bebop cosplayer that...well...

Guy was pretty well known back in 03 I think, though I didn't follow his antics at all. He got mentioned in some weeb magazine I used to read where they implied he managed to get banned from a few conventions for selling official "Man Faye" merch.
Anyway, here's an unrelated Animal Crossing cosplay!

I met Man Faye, he seemed pretty nice, and he was really popular. Anime Expo banned him because of how the costume accentuated certain man parts.

Is it wrong that those cosplays don't bother me? They're intentional and self-aware, and at the very least the costumes themselves are reasonably accurate. Like the Resetti still in the hole is a funny concept.

I'm surprised Yaya Han hasn't been brought up yet. She basically got a boob job for the sake of cosplay, makes her cuck husband sew all of her costumes, and is basically the queen of gratuitously slutty cosplay. Yaya also doesn't have a job- her husband is the only wage earner. She feels the need to be the arbiter of good cosplay even though she doesn't even make her own costumes.

She already has a lolcow.farm thread.

I remember watching that stupid Heroes of Cosplay with the vain hope the show would go into detail with the creation process because fuck me I wanted to learn stuff but instead it was just Yaya and co. being catty bitches in a nerd themed reality show.

Anyway, the thing I remember the most was Yaya being a judge and giving two girls shit about buying a small piece for their costume (foam horns) because they ran out of time to make the piece themselves for the contest. And then of course she doesn't make her own costumes plus sells premade items (i.e. wings, horns, ears for half assed mlp cosplay).

Despite this I don't think she needs a thread. She keeps fairly professional and doesn't go on hours long bitch fits like Momokun.
