"Girly" Video Games

I've become addicted to Tap Tap Fish Abyssrium after seeing an ad for it and thinking it looked cute. I just tap tap tap tap on my phone, get my nervous energy out and earn points for cute fish.

It can get annoying when it keeps trying to get you to share pics and invite friends and pay money to level up but you can turn off most of that prompting. There are also a lot of ads but I think you're fairly compensated for watching them and they're very short.

I'll probably get bored of it in a week but for now it's helping me not bite my nails.

These are some of the more girly games I like to play.

I like to play/ read visual novels a lot. Some of my favorite visual novels are Nekojishi, Doki Doki Literature Club!, Sepia Tears, The Bottom of the Well, The Sad Story of Emmeline Burns, and others.

I enjoy playing dating sims. Some of my favorite dating sims are Hatoful Boyfriend, Jurassic Heart, and My Girlfriend Is An Alpaca/ PacaPlus.

I like dress-up games/ character creation games.

I like the various Sim games (especially The Sims 2 and The Sims 3).

Many of the Barbie games are surprisingly good. I have no idea why.

Does dressing up in Hitman count?

I love the Sims.

When I first got the Sims 3 I made a sim with the evil trait just to see what would happen. I let him have free run for the most part. One day when he was down town he stole candy from a kid, got into a fight with an old lady that got mad at him for it and won, then went down to the beach to go fish in his boxers. Having them run on free will is the best.

I have also wasted way too much time in Star Dew valley. I don't even know what it is about that game that I love so much.

KiSS Maker was my jam back in the day. I had tons and spent hours just playing with outfits and editing files. The ones that had "stories" were strange though. I always ended up getting frustrated because some of the prompts were so obtuse.

One girly game that I absolutely adore is Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure. It's like babby's first tactical RPG. (The mazes can fudge right off tho)

This is my favorite song from the game. :P

What is the Kiss Maker thing? This is my first time hearing about it (I think). Unless it is referencing something else.

KISS Maker was/is a very old online dress up game from the mid/late 90s - early 00s. As I remember it, it was semi modular so people could add on whatever outfits they chose to their instance of it.

Interesting! Is it still around? I know that a lot of those 90s sites aren't around anymore. But some have stuck around, so I am just curious.

Yep!

I really like Nancy Drew games.

The Nancy Drew games are still pretty great, even though the development company is in some hot water right now.

I also like little relaxing fetch-quest games like Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. I've devoted a lot of time to the Professor Layton series of games over the years, too.

I haven't heard anything about the company, what's going on with them?

Has anyone else tried the new Style Savvy: Styling Star demo? I ended up preordering the game ahhh.

I remembered that I mentioned how most people thought Trendsetters > Fashion Forward, and now that I have played Fashion Forward, I wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment.

Fashion Forward feels like a trip. A bad trip. A confusing trip. A disappointing trip.
"Why the fuck am I building dollhouses in a game about selling clothes and winning fashion shows?"
"So you're saying that my character is a doll in a dollhouse who started out as an actual human but just sorta shrunk down and joined the doll town?"
"So I'm building dollhouses... while I'm in a dollhouse?"
"Also, why am I doing everything EXCEPT running a fashion boutique?"

The makeup in Fashion Forward looks like ass and you have to do a shitty minigame to UNLOCK COLORS for makeup and hair (??I think that's how it works????)

tl;dr get Trendsetters or wait for Styling Star
