Amber denies having blocked Aunt Tammie, but then once she came here and saw it's actually Aunt Tammie she said she might have her blocked. As soon as Amber realized it was truly Aunt Tammie, she started crying. She was upset about not having privacy, and wondered why Aunt Tammie "made this public"--forgetting about the little video she made about her. After Aunt Tammie told her news on her mom, Amber was done reading Tammie's messages. The only ones she sent after that were well wishes. Amber spent the remaining 30 minutes or so of the broadcast lamenting about her hard life. She wishes she could have the good parts of her mom's life, and sometimes she wishes that she was addicted to drugs instead of food. She's jealous her mom has supporters and family because everyone has abandoned Amber. Amber thinks her mom doesn't want to see her because her mom will realize how horrible she has been to Amber. Not to be too insensitive, but she spent the rest of the stream crying about how sorry she is for herself while telling people she didn't want pity and was embarrassed...but stayed on stream for 33 minutes crying, long after Aunt Tammie was done delivering her message.

Mind sharing what happened? I popped in just before a meeting and saw her crying but I had to log out before I figured it out.

Basically her aunt contacted her during her younow stream and told her that her mom has been sober wince she got out of prison about 4 months ago. Amber broke down because according to her its the longest her mom has ever been sober. And her mom has apparently cut Amber out of her life for reasons unknown to me, so thats why her aunt had to contact her on younow to give her an update on her mom.

Also, according to AL, her mothers rampant drug use during her child hood is where her comfort for food began.

I know this isn't any soapbox advice or opinion to write home about, obviously AL comes here, how frequently I don't know, but you have to consider of all of this, at the core, Amberlynn is a byproduct of an upbringing which seems absolutely irresponsible and unparental in probably the most influential fucking ways. Even this shit, now. I'm not defending Amberlynn at all because she's a grown ass person and should be able to act that way, her bullshit is inexcusable( see: Rarity not getting fixed, dumping her pets, morbid obesity, visions of grandeur, diabetes, mukbang, no job, etc) but I'm of two minds when it comes to Tammie.

If her mother doesn't want anything to do with her, unless there's been some type of agreement between the two of you to disclose information behind the scenes, while you admittedly owned you should not be communicating with this person due to toxicity, why the fuck are you giving Amberlynn updates about her mom's sobriety and wellness? It just stinks of passive-aggression. Maybe I'm missing a key piece of information? Fill me in.

On the other side of all this, Amber, if you're mom is a junkie she shouldn't be around someone who has an active alive-and-well addiction of their own with zero motivation to change it. That's I think maybe recovery 101. When you're trying to go straight don't hang out with people who have dangerous habits/behaviors/lifestyles that could potentially set you back. Whatever. I'm not a therapist and I'm not saying Amberlynn and her family are a bunch of narcissistic drama hounds but Amberlynn and her family are a bunch of narcissistic drama-hounds.

This is going to be a really unpopular opinion and I will gladly take some :autism: ratings.

Tammie seemed like she meant well by at least trying to update Amber on her mother since they (guessing) have had no contact the passed 4 months. I would want to be updated at least, especially when you have Amber whine about not sending letters and loving her mom still. And how she claims aunt Tammie is a horrible person who won't let Amber see her mother. Of course, that should be the only contact Tammie and her sister should be having with Amber.

Should that have been done publicly? Sure. Broadcast to the fans how Amber actually acts towards her family.

Amber is a toxic narcissist. Nothing will change unless she wants to change but clearly, she rather throw a pity party for herself instead of be happy for someone other than herself for once.

aunt Tammie has stated several times on here that she will make sure that her sister stays completely away from Amber for the sake her her sister's sobriety. That's why this makes no sense. Aunt Tammie, I love you hun, but it seems like you can't stop with Amber. Your therapist, even people on here have told you to stay away from her and like I said, it seems like you're just unable to do that for some reason. I KNOW she hurt you and I know you love her, but enough is enough. You say you want her out of your life, you say you want your sister out of her life, so do it and be done with it.

Tammie is smart enough to know Amber will lie and make up any sort of shit for drama and Tammie took that away from her, she outsmarted her (not hard to do) and AL had to m.ilk that sympathy for all it's worth for her braindead fans.

The difference between ham hock and her mother who both have their own personal demons with addiction is that while someone can be addicted to food - food doesn't innately change who you are mentally. It distracts you from whats going on but it lacks the chemicals that do things like make you a completely different person (IE a shitty mother). Drug users at least have the excuse that, while under the influence, they generally have little to no control over anything other than their next fix. AL is addicted to food, and while she might get a little bit hangry when she's been forced to go more than 3 hours between her meals of 5 egg rolls... her food addiction is no excuse for the over all shitty and manipulative person that she is. Ignoring her user ways, she is uneducated and unwilling to admit that she is as naive as a 10 year old child. Bottom line AL: the reason your family has cut ties with you is because you refuse to take control of your life and continue to be the victim. Your mother, while it may be new, has at least shown that she is now willing to do better in life.

Is it so shocking that someone who is tiptoeing through the rocky stages of recovery might want to keep someone as negative as you out of their life? I need to say this again AL, YOU CONTINUE TO BE THE VICTUM. In every day situations and overall in life. The thing about being an adult is realizing that at some point you either let the cards that were given to you in life control who you are, or you overcome them. This goes beyond your food addiction, but is also a large factor there too. Being 500lbs is not the only aspect of your life that you need to get under control. We've all had shitty things done to us in the past (I would assume your mother included given her choices in life) and you don't see the mass majority of us eating ourself to death.

Just as important as getting healthy, you need to mentally get your shit together. When mental trauma occurs in children/teens lives it ultimately stunts their mental growth. It is clear that whenever you were taken away from your parents, this combined with whatever abuse might have happened whilst in foster care, has caused you to be forever stuck in that mental age. You are defensive to the point of stupidity, lack the ability to speak as an adult, use excuses even when they are bold faced lies at all cost to avoid admitting when you are wrong. You are quick to attach yourself to anyone who gives you the smallest amount of attention and are unable to keep long term friends because of petty in fighting that occurs in social groups of children age 10-17. Bottom line is until you get yourself to a therapist and sort out all that shit in your head, stop making excuses, and stop being a pathological liar there is NO reason for any of your family members to go out of their way to be in your life.
