If you have large sums arriving in your bank account then you'd have to explain those in terms of tax, whereas in many countries you can usually carry up to 10k USD or more flying into the country. Even if you exceed that 10k USD, provided you have some form of documentation and you at least declare it they won't really care (unless its like a billion US dollars in your suitcase)

For that reason a lot of people (not just escorts) prefer to be paid in cash when they're working overseas.

It certainly raises questions about his financial situation if its true.

the tax bill is a fake or was so little that it did not matter. Do businesses not get a ton of leeway in america to begin with. Even more now after trump his private plane bill? Personal debt is probably a fake as well or he is already on the minimum pay plan that can be up to 25 years, so no problems there.

There's been other streamers who have run afoul of taxes. Being self employed even with an accountant it's not totally uncommon to end up owing some money. As long as you make good on the payment plan the IRS is fine, just pay the monthly amount (which is usually kept low to make it easy) and nothing bad happens.

The IRS only seizes things if you totally default, it's easier for everyone to just let someone pay on a plan.

That being said, DPS has spending issues and probably hasn't worked through all that money he made back in the day. He cries wolf about literally everything, so while I'm sure getting less and less each month is hurting him financially it's probably not to the point where he can't cover his expenses and spend money on stupid shit.
