Art sperg here. While the color use and composition are good in the left drawing, the anatomy leaves a lot to be desired. It looks like her neck is broken, and her ass is like... weirdly spread open. The pose itself is also pretty stiff when comic art should be fluid and dynamic. The thin waist and big ass aren't the problem, despite what the retards at The Mary Sue would want you to believe. The problem is that it's a really stiff, awkward drawing.

However, it's not as bad as the anatomy in Erica Henderson's art, and SJWs love Henderson. It's not as bad as Liefeld or Greg Land's art, either. I don't know- it's just a mediocre drawing that shouldn't have gotten as much attention as it did, but SJWs insisted on making a federal fucking issue out of it, so here we are.

The best part is that a majority of these were on the featured page, which means there were admins who thought this stuff was good enough to be seen by everyone in the community.

There is a sort of nose shading but beyond that, it's way, way, way less of an eye sore than other Tumblr that's been on here (especially when other Tumblr art looks like nothing more than an attempt at aping the style of Steven Universe).

Since we're on the subject, I've been meaning to share this. The Milo post reminded me of it and I kept forgetting to post it, so I think it's a good time to share (what people see as) the 'solution' to this genre. I've been seeing this pop up on Kickstarter and seriously wondered about erotica like this.

It's got good craftsmanship, they're OCs and not butchered canons, and the whole 'consent-driven' premise is great; but there's a certain weirdness. Do people who read these things get off to the blatant pandering and pseudo-activism or what? It just feels condescending.

Maybe it's the token hijabi in a smut comic?

I bet one of the characters is trans or at least non-binary. As for the hijab one, I think I'll stick with the one in Hunie Pop 2 who is a closet porn-loving nympho with big tits and works in airport security.

Fenris looks like Benedict Cumberbatch fused with Bea Arthur

Varric looks pretty decent and accurate in this style.

Isabella is a shitty character and one of the worst DA2 characters next to "He dindu nuffin" Anders and that bonehead Merrill, so she deserves all the shitty mongloid-looking fanart of her.

Webcomic

Either the main character is white or Filipino, because in a couple pages of the story her and her mother just call each other Filipino phrases. She's autistic and a janitor who's boss is an Evil White Man. Randoms on the street are either black or noticeably Indian. Her therapist is a black woman with her hair shaved on the sides. The two women in the back of the cover, one speaks Hindi and the other speaks Arabic.
The webcomic isn't even finished it's currently 55 pages long and the last update was December 30, 2017. There's no reason why this should've been listed other than it filling in the pee oh see fetishists.

Well, it's the New Years, and you know what that means: 'new' designs! Here's a bevy of absolute garbage from the 'SU redesign' tag on Tumblr. This is a tag basically populated by SU criticals (a group solely dedicated to bitching about something something black coding blah blah why is character lighter now you're UNBLACKING them). You'll run across a good design every once in a millenia in this tag but for the most part it's people making overdesigned characters with ugly aesthetics lacking the understanding of why simple designs work better for western animation.

Sorry ahead of time if any one of these have been posted before, I tried to pick fairly new ones.

If you're wondering what's up with all the yellow in the blue gem's design, some sperg actually bothered to look up the irl Lapis Lazuli gem and found out that it has gold strains in it. Naturally since then its been halel in the SU redesign community to redesign Lapis without giving her some form of ugly yellow facial blemishes.

Here's to another year of crap.
