I've tried to watch him before, but when most of his videos are 20-odd minutes long, it's just too much. It's just so goddamned boring. I hate long YouTube videos, except in very specific cases where the length is necessary. Doesn't really matter what kind of video it is. Always assume that your audience has the attention span of a fly. Less is more. Don't spend five minutes explaining something that could be explained in 30 seconds.

For me it’s not the video length, it’s his dull, monotonous voice that kills any of his videos. The man has the personality of a cardboard box in his videos. I’m sure some people like a boring British voice talking to them, but it just puts me to sleep. I can’t even pay attention to what he says in his videos most of the time

^Yeah having a not great voice when it's a selling point for your product(in this case videos) can really hurt your potential growth as a creator. Like for instance I don't mind Vee politically but the guy sounds so annoying that I can't sit through even one of his videos.

Lost to a guy who can't even type a Hashtag correctly.
Good grief! Spencer reminds me of the Down's Syndrome dude with the autism voice Jim had on his Metocast who talked about putting people in camps.

The thing I found most depressing about the debate his how as a history sperg Carl spilled his spaghetti in front of someone as historically illiterate as Spencer. I guess I can expect only so much from someone who willing raises someone else's kid.

Hasn't talk radio labotomized large chunks of the American population by presenting low key propaganda as news?
Which explains sargons fans I suppose.
Eh, part of that is the need to fill up to 6 hours of airtime +5 days a week. Only soo much any one person or even small team can provide in information or opinion. There is a reason why this genre of "informative commentary entertainment" can get soo much overlap in viewers amongst themselves without trying much.

I consider myself a casual fan of Sargon's videos, but this shit is just embarassing.

The funny thing is sargon got railed when he talked to Jared Taylor. If this debate had been against someone from the alt right far less spergy than Spencer sargon wouldve been ripped apart. funnily enough sargon dodged a bullet by it being Spencer.

Hopefully Andy can reel him in with a better person than ol dicky

I'm honestly amazed that his "after action" video has only a 50/50 like:dislike ratio when his fawning fanboys even overwhelmingly "liked" his ridiculous explanations for being a 9/11 conspiratard.
I'm amazed too, but for the opposite reason - whenever Sargon's criticised the alt-right and/or white nationalism in the past, the dislike bar's exploded accompanied by an epic chimpout in the comments section.

Ya basically the "I'm tired" shit to leave the stream then going to record an hour long video in an echo chamber makes Sargon look really shitty. He let himself get really triggered by JF in chat as well as Spencer and he just couldn't really deal with it. Honestly this kinda reminds me of how Kraut's decline started getting btfo and retreating to a hugbox making videos with yes men.

Sargon is generally a pretty weak debater who relies on his British accent to sound smart.

The reason why his videos are so heavily disliked is because the audience he has cultivated (whom are mostly a combo of alt-right, racist, and nationalistic despite Sargon calling himself a "liberal") largely agrees with everything Spencer says.

Sargon has spent so long arguing against anti-racists and the left (and even then he has trouble) that he has no idea how to argue against low-hanging fruit like Richard Spencer.

It's amazing how fast people like Carl crumble in the face of the most bottom of the barrel low effort alt-right talking points. It shouldn't be that hard to figure out the impracticality of creating an ethnostate in CURRENT YEAR.

Starting with the "ethnic cleansing" part that Spencer has suggested could be done "peacefully"

The discussions regarding practicality took place long ago, and were put to rest in the early 2000s, and are irrelevant today. The discussion is usually now about exactly how many hundreds of millions will die in the wars to secure white homelands.

Something Sargon could have easily brought up is the fact that, in this scenario, people would not be happy about it.

Like, yeah, Spencer could argue hypotheticals but the reality of the situation is that most people aren't racists and segregation is already a pretty sensitive topic given the insane pushback segregation in colleges tends to receive.

But that didn't happen and I question why. I'm not one to argue "moral principles", but I also think the opinions of the general public and their mindset should be taken into consideration when you suggest major political and economic shifts, and completely disregarding the fact that most people try not to be assholes and would rather not face confrontation is fucking stupid.

This should have been a super easy deconstruction but instead we got two people yelling at each other. Which, y'know, memes and jokes, but I'd like to think someone with the influence of Sargon be more capable of handling tards like Spencer than not but alas.

Debate, especially internet debate doesn't really prove you're right. It often simply proves you're better at arguing your case. I've seen people argue total shit before and still come out on top if they've got good banter and the other guy is a total sperg. I'd recommend watching Thunderf00t debating Ray comfort to watch someone losing despite having a way better case.
Spencers beliefs are dubious shite and the guy has the personal charm of a dead cat, it's a fucking embarrisment that to Sargon that he lost.

It also didn't help that the "moderator" and the third guy they brought in were heavily sympathetic to Richard Spencer's beliefs.

Sargon could barely hold his own on Joe Rogan, and Joe wasn't even debating him, just asking simple questions like "when did she say that" leading him to mumble mouth "err well SHE didn't but those types ALWAYS are saying that"

My dude how do you fumble roasting Anita, the softest target ever, to a sympathetic host??

If he would just stick to his scripts in his man cave he'd be fine, that content is perfectly watchable to me.

Didn't he wanted to debate Sam Harris at some point?, if he got assblasted by fucking Richard Spencer, Sam Harris would eat him alive.
It's highly unlikely Sam Harris would have him on his podcast as he once said he didn't want to talk to "internet goons" which may have been a nod to Sargon or people like him. Harris wouldn't have Stefan Molyneux on his podcast, so I doubt Sargon would make the cut.
