Kayli has gotten some decent info out of Russ, e.g. getting him to explain his cryptic "got hit by a car" status update. Yes, it's what Russ wanted, but it wasn't really trolling and it got Russ to finish his explanation -- if he got no reaction from anyone, he probably would've just deleted it, or at least he wouldn't have explained what actually happened.
McKenna has pretty much just buttered him up, which I guess might encourage him to keep posting but hasn't really provided much of any useful or entertaining results. It's just pretty boring and mildly nauseating.
Shannon (
@Bamboon McDrool) was trying to be Russ's shrink, and eventually gave up. It's right there in the guidelines: "True lolcows reject advice." His own adopted sister couldn't get him to behave like a civilized member of society. He's a creepy bamboon who stalks and harasses celebrities and hot young Instagram models and has gotten himself fired and evicted over his antics more often than I could even count. You're not going to be able to help him.
Allison (
@xyrichard) did at least get the video that Russ sent to KP, some new photos, and I don't think anyone else has mentioned it yet, but in the emails Russell confirmed that it's his adopted sister who got engaged and also said her wedding will be in April. But ultimately the whole thing was a cruel prank which makes Russ seem like a sympathetic character.
All in all, though, intentionally trolling and/or catfishing Russ doesn't help. He ruins his own life quite well without anyone's interference, and then there's no validity to his attempts to blame it on anyone else but himself. I think Kayli really got it right as far as getting Russ to interact without trolling him.
