So Guru Larry/Larry Bundy Jr. just did a video on Peter Molyneux, who he loves to reference in his videos. Why this is relevant is right at the start of said video, he clarifies that he doesn't genuinely think he's "the biggest arsehole in the history of gaming", instead saying that his opinion is that the title actually belongs to Phil.

Just another example of just how infamous and hated Phil is. But apparently we're all stupid if we don't like him. :story:

When you hate someone so much you stick him at the beginning of all your videos, who do you put at the front of your video about that guy? I guess the "King of Hate" really is the only answer.

This is Nutshack level animation. I'm never going to tell a person he can't improve his drawing ability. But you need to have the humility to not seriously expect money to come from something of this quality.

I think he offers these occasional warnings against hero worship to feed a niggling obligation he feels toward people who he knows do treat him like a figurehead, idol, and guru. Obviously, you can't do much about fanboys. But one thing always available for you to not do is enable them.

I sincerely wish the only thing wrong with Phil was that he was bad at games and had dumb opinions. Such a noxious person, and he never misses an opportunity to remind us.

Whats sad is there are a few folks who are genuinely good folks who give Phil a lot of chances to redeem himself. He disappoints, every time. A lot of these folks even believe he is their friend and when reminded that a narcissist cannot have long-lasting relationships of any kind, run to defend him. And with Jezal this was true, it took a doxing to occur which Jezal was met with more mercy from Dynastia and the Dox Sluts than Phil had shown him in all the time he knew Jezal. So quick to throw someone away. Hopefully Jezal stays away, for his own sake and spends his money on anything else than Phil.

No that's just how mortgages work. You end up paying about 3x the house price over the life of the mortgage, plus you pay off almost solely interest for the first 10 years of a 30 year mortgage.

What's wrong with Peter Molyneux? He made Dungeon Keeper, Fable, Black and White, and others. He's pretty cool in my book.

When did Phil buy his condo, roughly? If he still has 100k worth of payments to make and it's only worth 60k, and it was bought for (I think) around 120k, how come in the several years of owning that shitehole he's barely made a dent in mortgage payments? He's allegedly paying 1500 monthly towards it! Just one year of that is 18000 dollars, he's owned that place for YEARS. Anyone able to explain my confusion away?

It actually does tend to be different when you promise loads of things for a game, get tons of people backing it/paying for early copies on Kickstarter, and then nothing even gets released. Say what you will about Mighty No.9/Yooka-Laylee, but at least they actually did release, unlike Petey-boy's "Godus", which is apparently dead in the water and never going to be made, leaving everyone that supported it out of pocket.

And he never said Phil is part of the industry, just that he's the biggest arsehole he's aware of that is related to the overall culture of gaming.
