Here in Animal Control, we have two main types of lolcow; people who become noticed for their insane political screechings, and people who become noticed for their absurd fetishes. Today's subject is a person who's equal parts column A and column B. Ladies and gentlemen, say hi to Samael;

Samael's a fat fetish artist who has a bit of a sordid history online. His Encyclopedia Dramatica article dates all the way back to 2011, being created by the one and only @14⚡⚡ weev ⚡⚡88. They list his powerword as being "Robert Brettell", which matches up with what he's said in the past. His early notoriety within lolcow watching communities was solely for his popularity as a fat fetish furry, a community he's still a fixture of today. Around the mid 2010s however, he discovered tumblr, and this is where he really started to branch out as a lolcow. Let's see what he's up to these days:

PART 1: SEXUAL DEVIANT

Let's start by acknowledging the fact that Samael is still sticking it out as a porn artist, adding a new fetish to his roster every so often. @yawning sneasel is undoubtedly jacking it to this thread as we speak. PART 2: SOCIAL JUSTICE WARRIOR

Samael avoided politics in his earliest interactions online, aside from the odd complaint about extremism. It's impossible to say for certain when this flipped, but tumblr was likely a big motivating factor. He's close friends with one of our favorite cows;

So we've established the person we're dealing with here. A tumblr faggot furry who spergs about all the same shit his ilk do. It should be no surprise, then, that the single most notable event in Samael's life has to do with none other than Undertale.

PART 3: SO SORRY

This is where the Samael story really gets interesting. In 2013, a younger and more naive Samael caught wind of a Kickstarter for an interesting-looking little indie sprite game. He immediately pledged $500 to the project and in return, had his character implemented in the game as a secret boss. The name "Samael the Butterdragon" seemed too fetishy for creator Toby Fox however, so the character was renamed "So Sorry".

What he couldn't have predicted is how much of a runaway smash hit Undertale would become, and how quickly people would discover the character (you can only fight him by having the in game clock set to a specific time and date and then going to a certain room). When people discovered this, they were quick to give Samael shit for putting his fetish character in what is a generally pretty innocuous game. He was especially upset with /v/ linking his galleries and telling him he should have changed the character. This alleged harassment against him got so bad that even Toby Fox commented on it;

So that's about where we're at right now. With how much Samael latches onto the usual talking points I'm amazed I can't find a mention of us in any of his accounts. That article would have been a lot older than 2011 btw-- that's just when the new ED was made. I was not even on the Internet at all in 2011, because of my federal bail conditions which prohibited Internet use except for work, and only on federally monitored computers. The timestamps just got fucked up in the site resurrection I guess.

Yeah to be honest, every ounce of me regrets getting rid of my guns and going peacefully. If I could do over, I would have rigged my house with explosives and martyred myself, taking as many fed lives as possible, just out of the principle of the thing. I mean, I am not unhappy now, but I had greater confidence in my ability to break ZOG. I was pretty naive.

Too late to make my last stand against tyranny on the soil of my birth now, but I had some good fun.

Yup. He was upset his secret character wasn't included in the end credits, ignoring that none of the secret monsters were featured in the end credits (because they were, you know, secrets). He was mad Toby didn't name him specifically when telling people to leave his backers alone, despite telling Toby at the beginning that he was ready to deal with the backlash. He bitched about how "uncool" he thinks So Sorry is, ignoring that he got a completely unique song, more animations than most characters, and has the only branching battle dialogue tree in the entire game.

And he opens by listing how oppressed he is, which gives the impression that Toby doesn't like people who are fat/mentally ill/trans/autistic/etc.

If I were in Toby's shoes I would have removed him from the game and refunded his money for being such a whiny, ungrateful fuck.
