I think he showed the hard drives in one of the house tours or an office tour, he may have in the past. Current day Phil however, a person who includes taking a shit as part of his work day, probably stopped archiving a while ago.

Jeez, that came out of nowhere...guess this'll be added to his routine, every time he recounts his misfortunes.

It's funny how his situations continually get waaayyy worse AFTER they've ended.

Next he'll be telling us how that tax accountant was always just a detractor, biding his time until he could try to ruin him.

Wait a minute, he admitted the "escort" was texting him? This adds a whole new layer to the story. Remember the strange behavior during the whole thing (the 2 minute prestream/snortless playthrough, corresponding with the fake escort claiming he paid, but then coming back later)?

Was he actually dumb enough to pay off a blackmailer, thinking it was a legit escort capable of ruining him (even though nothing happened)?

If he did, that explains why they came back with the infamous pic, instead of just letting a masterful troll job lie; they got greedy and figured if he paid once he'd pay again.

I assume it's because he's close to middle-aged, getting into new stuff is mentally tiring (and that's normal) and just playing older stuff he likely somewhat enjoyed makes this "job" more bearable to him at this point. I doubt he really thinks there's anything to "redeem," these are just familiar games that he thinks he can't fail at as badly at as newer games (lol wrong.) You won't see him replay JRPGs, that's for sure. His viewers want those, he doesn't. I do believe he likes playing the Souls-games and gets something out of beating them again.

If anything, the games he ragequit should be ones he should redo to redeem, but he didn't like playing those so that's why he won't. It really is about his comfort zone and nothing else. Phil just hates his job. He wants to play video games but he doesn't have the balls to say he doesn't want to play everything even though he's supposed to be a generalist.

Every so often people find old forum posts of his, and the ready excuse is that he has been hated, apparently, since before he even graduated high school. And any forum posts you see purporting to be written by him are impersonations. The work of negative, malicious, limp dick morons. Seriously.

He caught himself in a whopper some time ago, some stupid posts on a forum account people had deduced were his led people to another user thanking Phil for gifting him an XB360. Phil denied this, meanwhile the guy had made a YT video thanking him once again. And guess whose account was in the comments section telling any "jealous" people to die in a fire? (@EddyB43 might remember more? )

Fucking hell. Only Phil Burnell would be stupid enough to take a situation in which a decade long catfishing empire got vaginally exposed and he got completely proven innocent to say a few words on his prestream which turn the wheels of mystery about it again.

Yes I am aware of that, my points still stand as they are. I'm sure anyone reading this can agree that the truth with Phil gets more sugarcoated than his sauce so even if you take John and Howards podcast as the true and honest truth you're still left with 2 people fucking around and making shit with a buddy was generating said buddy revenue which by dsp's own admission, a lot of money due to high CPM and not so shitty views and participation so I maintain that it was a stupid decision on their part to not ask for money before making any videos on it.

They actually added "the girlfriend experience" after the saga started and we kinda igmored that anomaly. He wouldn't have searched it out.

The whole project 7 shit... Picture Tom Green. He did prank vids with his friends for public access. Probably paid them nothing, they did it for the lulz. When he got picked up by MTV did he give his friends some money for helping him get popular? Probably because we don't hear about him screwing them out of their work.

Phil and his friends mess around. He gets "popular". Says fuck you, my money. Leaves friends in the dust. When they come over to record the next episode he has a new BMW and dozen multi-hundred dollar dolls statues. They might not have asked to be paid, but share the wealth, pign

I think its why his attempt at doing a new Project 7 failed. He blamed the camera issue but none of the guys wanted to work with him again.

Nah, Phil thought he could reboot his P7 show by throwing up a green screen, bouncing around in front of it, photoshop everything in, and bam he'd have his creator content that would afford him the respect he deserved and the money he wants. He did set up the green screen so that wasn't the problem, the blocker was him figuring out how to use his adobe production software and that's when he dropped the project for the SF5 beta. If it requires effort, Phil is NOT your man for it.
