Also, in what way were black women destroying Germany? I don't know what the population numbers looked like but I'm pretty sure the number of black people in general was extremely small in 1920s Germany. Plus the way she words it implies that black women were to blame for Germany's economic hardships (though I mostly chalk that up to historical ignorance).

To kind of build off this, English is one of the only languages with gender neutral words, and that's largely because English has a lot of blind spots. English is a surprisingly inarticulate language; people make fun of German for example because there's literally a word for everything, but when it comes to articulation it's better than English in that regard.

Most other languages are gendered, not just Spanish. German and French are also gender-specific for the most part. People who complain about gender-neutral pronouns in English don't realize that English is also one of the only languages they can do that with. Go anywhere else in the world, and you'll quickly realize "gender-neutral" doesn't really exist.

Sorry for the language sperging, but it never made sense to me to try and gender-neutralize English when 1) it's already got too many broadly-defined words and 2) it's not going to help you at all if you want to learn another language and visit a part of the world that doesn't give a shit.

In Spanish, French, German and Italian even the articles are gendered. How the hell are you going to deal with that? You're better off with Scandinavian and Slavic languages that generally don't have articles at all.
