SJW Art and Extremes

Why does Tumblr have an obsession with vitiligo?

  • Suicide Girl model and America's Next Top Model contestant have it, spread on Tumblr, that's why.

South Park fujoshi are more powerful than your run of the mill SJW.

I thought SJWs hated fujoshi?

In retrospect, maybe the art I posted wasn't actually SJW art, but fujoshi art fetishizing cross-dressing.

Come to think of it, I don't know why fujoshi are so into the show, either. Normally they gravitate towards crap like DMMD and Sanrio Boys. You know, things that aren't full of political commentary and over-the-top vulgarity, and have characters that are old enough to be shipped.

Fujoshi WILL ship things in every show they watch and like.

Despite Tumblr using vitiligo almost exclusively on black characters, it's just as common in any other race, including white people. I've seen a white dude that had it on his scalp, causing the hair growing out of the affected spots to be whiter than the rest of his hair, which was grey. From what I could tell it was only on his head. Most people I've seen with the condition have it centralized on their face or hands.

I've stated this before in this very thread, but the vitiligo obsession stems from a post with a Suicide Girl model with the skin condition, and was boosted by a contestant on America's Next Top Model with it. Both of them are black women.

Vitiligo looks very exotic and distinctive, and Auriga and Winnie Harlow make the condition sexy, allowing casual observers to not even consider the complications that come with it. You won't see SJW characters with psoriasis or harlequin ichthyosis, as they're not very empowering.

i googled these, it seems like vitiligo is least terrifying of the conditions but that's not saying much. heck, when i was first introduced to it, i thought these people were cows or rondent girls.
someone on discord showed it to me and it's supposed to be april. though, orginally she was suppsoe to be black until they changed it. perhaps we should post a thread for the new tmnt show.

This might work if it was done as a joke, but no. It's completely played straight.

Why the fuck would people like this watch South Park anyway? Wouldn't it violate their fragile sensibilities?
They don't watch it, they just imagine the 10 year old boys fucking. Tweek x Craig made fun of the yaoitards (and to some extent, the MY WOKE LGBT KID crowd too) to their faces, but none of them caught on to it.

Considering how great most of her work is, I'm going to guess that this icon is an intentional joke/jab at Rory, especially considering Rory's Kylo and Finn were sorta memes for a while.
I think her art is very SJW, aside from the obvious talent. All of her characters are brown/POC. Yet, if her icon is suppose to be her, a white woman (who's also living in Poland), then it kinda looks like she IS a SJW...

Dude the show's creators asked fans to send in Tweek and Craig fanart, they know.

Yeah, I think it was mostly just the writers trying to be "hip" by including some fanservice.

I don't think they meant for it to be malicious towards fans, especially given that they asked fans for art, like you said. In the commentary, Parker and Stone said that they'd been seeing Japanese fanart of the show for a long time and wanted to find a way to give the artists a shout-out. Apparently it was also their favorite episode of the season.

I think the only issue with the creators catering to a certain subset of fans like this is that it's making fujoshi entitled. Entitlement is a big problem in most fandoms, though, which is why the concept of fandoms is idiotic.

I have a completely optional request for our Kiwi operatives familiar with SJW Art, because this is something that's driving me crazy:

Recently, it was unveiled that there's a new TMNT cartoon being made by Nickelodeon. That's fine, but what's interesting is that the art style seems not only oddly related to this thread, but more critically, that I can't, for the life of me, shake the feeling I've seen it before. I'm not talking "Oh, I've seen something like this," I mean "I am like 90% sure I have seen this exact art style used by a lolcow or lolcow orbiter."

I've tried repeatedly to find out who the head artist is behind it, but so far, no luck.
I get the distinct feeling it's a Lolcow we covered at some point.

The series is being co-executive produced by Andy Suriano, who was a character designer for Samurai Jack and Ant Ward from the previous Nickelodeon TMNT cartoon that was made by Nickelodeon. It's being animated in-house so we won't get more details until it gets closer to the air date.

You can't judge a cartoon by still images and the character designs look fine to me.

Edit: It looks nothing like Teen Titans Go I don't understand where this is coming from.

It's kind of a Teen Titans Go, Butch Hartman, Genndy Tartakovsky type thing. (Maybe you're thinking of AnimatedJames?)

By the way, the black person is April O'Neil. How long before the nerds and SJWs rise up in saltiness?

She's April O'Neill.

If we're being fair, April O'Neill was originally black.
From what I've been hearing from Eastman's Artobiography, that April was originally going to be Asian and her name came from a black women Eastman knew.

As for the art, I don't really like how the Turtles are designed and since it will be a much lighter series, I hope it won't go the Teen Titans Go! route.

I'm actually hoping that this is all just all of Tumblr art syndrome blending into some hideous pastiche in the back of my mind someplace.

Just saying that if it does turn out to have been done by someone we covered, I called it first.

A little :offtopic:, but I feel like TMNT has been rebooted a shit-zillion times in the last ten years. Nickelodeon already has a CG Turtles show that I'm pretty sure new episodes are still being made for.

As for the art style, it reminds me of Samurai Jack more than anything else, which is appropriate given that Genndy works on it.

Is she the one who made those "Modern Disney Princesses" art which turned Kuzco trans, Belle into a muslim, Tinkerbell into a little person, and Leia Native American? Because that was the most virtue-signaling shit i've seen in years.

For some reason for me European virtue signalers/SJWs are more obnoxious than American ones.
