Greta Gustava Martela / Kjel Anderson & Nina Chaubal / Niraj Chaubal - Stole $350k+ from Trans Lifeline, kill count of 2+ from negligence, Founders of Sisterwood/La Zorra.

I don't know if the laws changed since it became legal but didn't you have to have some serious traceable capital to get a large scale growers licence?

They clearly aren't planning anything large scale - that requires an investment of millions - but I suspect they'll struggle to find enough money to be compliant with the requirements of even small scale commercial growing.

I can't believe other people believe their bullshit, share it and donate to it.

I've never heard of having to travel cross country for a physical.
He can't get one in California for have the records faxed or emailed!?

It has to be done by a Civil Surgeon and I suspect each immigration court requires it to be done locally so they can call the doctors as witnesses if need be.

FWIW, examination results are valid for a maximum of 6 months, so the "medical records screw up" likely relates to Nina not having results which are currently valid.

The Jim Jones/Jonestown comparisons people are making actually aren't that far off. Of course everyone only remembers The People's Temple for committing mass suicide (which is actually inaccurate, btw; while some did commit suicide, a huge number of people were outright murdered) but for years it was actually a somewhat respectable organization. Last Podcast on the Left is currently doing a series on The People's Temple that's very interesting and funny. I really recommend checking it out if you have any interest in cults.

Anyway, what a lot of people don't realize is that cults very rarely start out as, well, cults. They begin as movements that have some good, interesting ideas (well, good and interesting to some people) and then gradually ramp up the behaviors and actions that turn them into unhealthy, dangerous traps. One of the biggest red flags is when the cult begins to isolate itself and its members from the outside world.

The People's Temple began its descent into tragedy when Jim Jones established a commune in California. It completely went off the fucking rails when Jim Jones shipped hundreds of his followers to fucking Guyana and made them completely cut off contact from their families who weren't there and the outside world. I'm not suggesting that Troon Town is going to end with murder-suicide, but I definitely suspect things are going to get crazy the longer they're isolated.

So far Greta seems to be having trouble attracting enough followers to even get it up and running, so it's really only Greta and Nina who are at risk of getting crazier the longer they spend in the desert (and I'm pretty sure they feed each other's delusions no matter where they're located).

Except that La Troona is already ticking off several of these de-facto cult checklists:
  1. The us versus them mentality, that is abundantly clear in Nino's "they have taken our liberties and freedom to live in society" little sperg stories in social media. This is also acutely present in the MtF community, or at least as it concerns individuals related to Great / the TLL / this thread.
  2. The only reason they are building their little paradise desert shithole is to isolate themselves from society at large to even start with. That's their mission statement, pretty much.
  3. Both of the founders have been known to be prone to violence (or violent tendencies) and are accomplished scammers and manipulators while "looking good" on the outside (as far as virtue signaling goes, not appearance, oh god no, never appearance).
  4. They might actually be a criminal project, if you consider it's being done to knowingly shelter an illegal immigrant facing a very high risk of deportation.
Any analysis of the situation, especially to people reading this thread for 500+ pages makes it abundantly clear that Sisterwood is way past "innocent little community" and already midway into very sinister territory. Sure, they might not qualify as a cult quite as of now or even for a little while still but they'll always be only a step or two behind being a perfect example of one.

If you're saying that Jonestown started as a benign community and quickly devolved into mass suicides and murders, I shudder to think of what will happen to a place that's deep in shit even before it started.

It's still pretty gross. Is Pajeet just so fat that he's turned into Baron Harkonnen and is covered head to toe with appalling cysts and boils?

I wouldn't say he's gotten that fat...if only because he isn't actually a sentient pile of lard floating around on a hoverchair yet.

So Nina simply didn't bother to get the required physical until the very last minute, necessitating a trip to Oakland before going to Chicago? Despite having the last 6 months to do so? Which requires other peoples money to fix. Sounds about par for course.

It's not going to stop anything. A new photo of it shows it to be in bad condition.

It's actually not in that bad of a nick, considering. Just some bubbling surface rust from the salt air while in service.

While they've been scammed to fuck buying such an expensive container (alibaba does them for like $2k+ shipping) it's not in too bad a condition considering it's life expired.

I thought we didn't know how much they paid for it. The "plus shipping" can be quite a bit, though.

I know that the landed cost to one of our port cities for a brand new, purpose built "container" which is already insulated and painted runs $3000-$4000 here, but then you have the additional cost of transporting it to your location and siting it. You can get secondhand containers much cheaper locally, but a lot are only suitable for storage/workshop space and won't meet building code requirements for a residence (single use containers will, but they're also the most expensive grade of used container).

Alibaba seems to have forecast Troontown's intentions, though.

Greta and Nina will need to sort out insulation and ventilation for their container before summer, though, or they'll be sleeping in tents. They should probably get a water supply established before summer, too.

Peak panel rating. That inverter setup is some seriously scabby shit too. Four dinky marine deep cycles paralleled with some crappy 2 gauge battery cable they bought at Auto Zone. If you tried pulling what that inverter is rated at (4000W, I think) you would melt the leads. Fuck fuses. Who needs, em.

Also, I don't see a charge controller for the panels. So fuck not boiling the batteries either.
Oh god another alternate energy sperg, you’re triggering my autism friend, I thought I was the only one <3

Edit for on topic: that inverter is one of these, which looks like a solid little unit. I admit I don’t have much experience with AIMS units (I’m a Xantrex man dammit) but I agree with what Colt said above, without the proper gear those batteries will boil off and weld themselves into cinder blocks, and that’s if they don’t start a fuckin fire with those cables. What a hanky setup, which is so odd considering they’re obviously willing to spend some money, they should have just had a pro install it lol :/

I'm morbidly curious about what Greta considers "a little financial support" and how they're going to prioritise spending for Sisterwood.

Here's the scary thing about cults: anyone is susceptible to them. It's not a question of whether you'd fall for someone's gobbledeegook; it's a question of how low have you sunk.

Jim Jones"wins" over Greta because he actively drew from a much larger demographic (liberal Protestant Christians); Greta's only had an extremely limited demographic (MTF transgenders/trenders who don't give her no lip) for a long time, and whatever achievements she's made were by sheer volume rather than charisma.

The best way to play TLL, is not to play. Because someone will always complain about something.

Way to ruin someone's life nina. What happens if we signal boost your questionable activities to these immigration courts. Like how greta may have not gotten the divorce of the previous marriage finalized, rendering your's obsolete. It might hurt your case if somehow they find out. :tomgirl:

Pretty rich coming from someone that frequently interacts with people who think it's cool to threaten cis women with painted bats to "teach them a lesson" about transwomen.

And I don't know this Alex, but something tells me he probably isn't "married" to a violent ogre that travels cross country with a buck knife to threaten someone over internet feefees.

Tents out with the Mojave rattlers and the giant desert hairy scorpions.

They're not afraid of no vermin because they've been repeatedly told that no man, woman or beast would ever dare fuck with them. But they missed the point people meant it sexually (:_(

Thank you so much, I was trying to remember this piece of information for a while now! It must have come up a year ago or so when Nino first got his fat ass in jail! Thanks for the refresher!

La Zorra movie time! Sorry, sound varies on these, so be prepared to adjust volume.

Greta outlines her plans for burying the container. This is probably the best one...

Nina tries to explain her wind project... then just bails on it to go get high.

Greta babbles, Schmoodle demands attention, and a whole lot of double-chin. This one is quiet, so if you turned down your sound on the last two, time to bring it back up.
