My roommates and I have two cats. The one I own is Envy:

The other one is Snow:

The two of them love to snuggle on my bed at night and love attention. They're also from the same litter so they like to pick on each other, and more importantly (and cute), groom each other:

I wished I owned both of them. :(

Man, I just can't believe this. :( My lovely Samoyed/Chow mix, Buddy, is in fading health. I got off of the phone with my father not too long ago, and he told me that he hasn't gotten much better and is still having trouble breathing, and that there's a good chance he may have to be put down soon. He's going to wait at least a week and see how he does, just so I have a chance to say goodbye. I had that dog since I was only about to turn 7. Fuck, I just don't know what to say. :( I wish I could find a photo of Buddy, but it'd probably just make me more depressed.

EDIT:

I found a photo of him when he was still young, right when my family was about to adopt him at the shelter. He was approximately 12 years old at the time of his declining health, but it still feels too soon. It's never going to be the same coming home without hearing that bark, and just not hearing him barking when a car pulls into the driveway. :( I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried when I found this photo. I just can't stop thinking about him running through the fields on walks when he was younger and happier.

Important update: I am very sad to announce that today on July 28th, 2014, Buddy has passed away at the age of 12. My father was walking him, and while he was slowly walking through the fields, Buddy looked my dad right in the eyes, walked to his feet, lied down, and then just passed away.

I've been crying all day and it's sad that I didn't get to see my boy before his time, I'm glad that he spent his last hours on earth doing what he loved, and what I remembered him doing the most.

I feel you man, last August my Lucky passed after owning her for 13 years. Was a tough time. Two months ago I got little Lacy and it feels good to have a dog again. Speaking of that, I took lacy for her Parvo and Rabies shot today, got her weighed. She weighs in at about 30 lbs, is about 5 months old, and the tech thinks she is some sort of Pyrenees or Bernard mix.

She was a very good girl.

I know it's a couple days late, but I really feel your pain and you have my deepest sympathy. I just recently lost my dog Rocky. It's going to be a rough road, but there are a lot of great people here who would be happy to help you along it, me included. Stay strong and best wishes.

So the resort I work at has two Border Terrier dogs named Quincy & Molly. Everybody loves them to death and I love them too. Quincy, however, can get really annoying because he always goes to the tables and begs and sits and whimpers at the people eating constantly. 90% of the time, the patrons don't mind it (I do mind it, however, but I can't remove the dog unless patrons ask if I can, since there are 10% of those who don't like it). Luckily for me, these days Quincy realizes that I don't humor him like the patrons do and he knows if he goes begging around me, he'll get his snout ringed (I don't hurt him now, I'm actually a HUGE dog lover IRL, I'd never actually hurt a dog).

But anyway, here's the story.

Quincy and Molly are from the same breeder, but not the same liter. When we got Molly, other people who go to the small island got her sisters, so there are actually a total of four Border Terriers. The others are Harriet and Grace. Harriet is owned by my boss's in-laws and Grace actually lives in the United States most of the time, but she's around now. I love Harriet so much, she's actually my favorite out of all of them. I don't know Grace that well, unfortunately, like I said, she's in the United States most of the time.

But anyway, we all get in at work this morning and you know what I see to make me smile so much for the first time today? I swear, this was just the cutest thing and it wouldn't have happened if all of them weren't there together. Molly, Harriet, and Grace were swimming in the sea all together, climbing onto the rocks for a 2-second break and back into the water and they'd just keep swimming out like they were having a relay race. That water's actually pretty deep, and these dogs are small. Damn, I wish I had a picture to show you. I don't know if Border Terriers are as popular here as Dachshunds, Corgis, or Dalmatians or Cats, but in my country, there are quite popular.

Five cats, Thomas, Crystal, Ash (who was a feral cat Thomas brought home who we've managed to tame somewhat), Ash's kittens Oreo and Rarity (though we might end up giving one or both away), a 7+ year old ferret named Weasel (who used to be the impulse buy of my sister), 50 or so normal hissing cockroaches divided by sex, 4 or so halloween hissing roaches in with my females/nymphs, and two giant cave roaches.

I need to dig up pics dsifukhvsdi
