So Alex is implying he is involved in a NDA with tinyBuild?

That would certainly explain a bunch.
So tinyBuild brought up people's hopes for Yandere Simulator, did literally nothing for it, and then made Alex sign an NDA, preventing people from finding out that the partnership was terminated to secure their reputation?

I almost feel sorry for Alex if that's the case.

If there really is an NDA in place, then how come Alex vaguely talked about a certain programmer (who we assume might be a code monkey from Tinybuild) doing 'busywork that had no actual impact on the game' and that those 5 months working with said programmer was his 'worst fears come true'.
Not sure if that's breaching NDA through vague derogatory remarks but it kind of puts Tinybuild in a bad light the way he talked about it.

Eh, I'll take what he says with a mountain of salt. Alex wanted full creative control of the game and he did literally nothing to his game. I would want to save my reputation after making partnership with someone like Alex too.

Or he has a boner for Jon

Agreed. That's actually very damn gay on their part.
Don't feel sorry for him. The reason tinybuild "did nothing for it" is because Alex won't let them. Alex mentioned the tinybuild codemonkey he worked with wanted to optimize/rewrite the slop code for him and that this was his "worst nightmare" because he wouldn't "recognize the code" anymore, meaning it would be too advanced for his novice brain to understand. However, before this happened, Alex made an entire fucking video about how he'd partnered with tinybuild and they'd help him with programming.

If he didn't fucking want programming help, why the hell did he bother with the partnership? I assume there was some infighting and they agreed to not disclose what was going on.

Given tinybuild's track record and Alex's track record, I'm definitely going to have to err on the side of tinybuild being in the right and Alex fucking up.

You're giving Alex too much credit. I bet it was more like this:

"We found you a helper. Also, remove the pantyshots, we won't publish an AO-rated game for pedophiles."

"You said I'll have full creative control! The pantyshots are an integral part of the game! Also I'm to dumb to read the code written by that code monkey! Reeeee!"

"...The deal is off."

He wanted to be told how much he had improved as a coder and how he was a real game dev now. But as we know, that didn't happen. If anything, he was probably told he didn't know what he was doing and then he threw a massive tantrum.

Someone asked him about tinyBuild and got this as a response. View attachment 378983
So as a translation we have:
tinyBuild tried to work with me but because I was so hard to cooperate with, they eventually gave up on me and left. I would love to talk about how awful it was working with them and what a shitty company they are, but they made me sign a NDA, so now I can't release a 30 minute long video explaining how I was obviously not at fault here. The best I can do is change the subject or come up with these weirdly specific comparisons to other situations, in hopes that this will be enough for my cult to understand my frustrations.
