No. Make a thread for him, if you think he warrants it.
And if we do get a thread on this guy, there must good amount of info and examples unless one just wants a really shitty OP that gets mocked and locked.No. Make a thread for him, if you think he warrants it.
Saladin Ahmed needs to be on there, and while Jim Zub is a pathetic manlet he's not malicious like others.
I honestly never understood how articles like this get written outside the writers being ignorant of the problem. Objectively comics are in a low-point, that is something people can agree on. Customers are also getting told to fuck off or drop dead for things like professing their desire for the original characters. How can you claim there isn't some merit to the argument that creators need to clean their act?An article I found via D&C. Comicsgate is Gamergate's Next Horrible Evolution. (Archive)

Usually they argue that eventually other mediums like the movies could use the material.....even though I can guarantee you that you'll never get Natalie Portman playing "Thor" in the MCU.This is what I don't understand about the whole Comicsgate thing. Sure, the writers at Marvel may suck and do things to characters the fans don't like, but if comics are pretty objectively in a low point (and yes, that's something everyone can agree on) why should we want to take something shitty and make it maybe 1% less shitty by getting rid of the SJWs? What does this do in the long run for the medium?

"But muh Marvel Studios" someone cries. You mean the same Marvel Studios that got so sick of Marvel Entertainment's shit that they broke off and now only have to listen to Disney? The Marvel Studios that's centered around the characters people give a damn about is your big "take that, fading white hegemony in geek culture"?
You might as well just write "Shut the fuck up, nigger" and call it a day if your input has nothing to do with improving a situation and is going on about how people's hobbies should be turned into farms for people's terrible ideas.
Honestly from what I've seen a lot of comic "journalists" are just craving for an actual #Comicgate to happen in the same vein as #Gamergate for at least a few years now because a comics scandal getting half the attention of a video game scandal would be a net positive for people who's job or is to write clickbait for an increasingly irrelevant medium. It's why all these sites like the Mary Sue pretty much jump on every "ZOMG FEMALE CREATOR GOT MEAN TWEETS ON TWITTER (no we won't show you proof stop asking)" for every single scandal, regardless of context. Most egregious examples of this being the articles written about Chealsea Cain, where several articles were written about her being harassed off Twitter for the "Ask Me About My Feminist Agenda" cover before anyone even bothered to contact Cain personally, at which point it later turned out the reason she left was because the people she was blocking on Twitter were rape victims upset thar she retconned a character from being a rape victim who killed her rapist in self-defense to a cheater who murdered her lover to prevent him from telling her husband and then lied to her husband about being raped to cover it up, and Cain basically got out of dodge and spun the issue as being the fault misogynerds before her antics could be noticed. Whoops.I honestly never understood how articles like this get written outside the writers being ignorant of the problem. Objectively comics are in a low-point, that is something people can agree on. Some guy named Yellow Flash made a Black List of the "Portland Mafia" and added other spergs that qualify as SJW in the comics indutry. Yellow Flash is a small time youtuber and has all the "Pros" going nuts about it.
