TBH, the best thing is just to not throw them a bone. Don't give them an excuse to whine more when they're perfectly capable of opening up one of many sites that offer CC and downloading their own shit.

Representation/diversity should be completely irrelevant with the sims since it’s a fucking virtual dollhouse game. You can make your sim literally anything you want even if you’re just downloading packs and not using CC. I’ll admit it sucks that the tones are limited and we can’t use a ramp like in 3, but these people are acting like we’re going back to only four skin tones being available. I’m on the gurus’ side tbh.

"The Sims" are all unwinnable by design. TS4 takes this mechanic to its logical and literal conclusion, since only winning move is not to pay.

It's a good idea for a game because you can really pander to the escapists. There's a reason the series was so successful. EA could go places with it if they weren't so incredibly lazy and cash-grabby about it. That a Sims fucking mod makes (made?) 13k in donations alone speaks volumes imho. Hell, if I'd knew the first thing about animations you'd better believe I'd make fuck animations for 13k a month.

The Sims is fun -- it all depends on how you play it. I used the hell out of the money cheat code, because I absolutely loved creating big fancy mansions and really cool landscaping. I loved all the neat little tweaks people came up with, like pool rugs.
