The TIHYDP of Sunshine was finally finished, and I think Phil is just getting worse and worse every year he keeps playing.

The constant fucking whining and moaning, the utter self-praise when he does something he perceives as difficult ("I never want to hear anyone say I'm bad at video games ever again!") and the pathetic blaming of the game itself when he just can't do a segment ("Worst fucking game ever! It just doesn't work!") yet somehow failing to connect the two to finally admit he's just an average doofus who isn't good at this gaming stuff. The fans wanted him to play this game, and he absolutely shit all over it. Especially in this day and age when Mario Sunshine is so popular among speedrunners, this kind of toxicity isn't going to do him any good.

He mentioned he might want to do a playthrough of Mario RPG because it was one of his favorite games he played a long time ago. That isn't an easy RPG to clear. It's going to be a lot of excusing and blaming the game for being "old and outdated."

It's going to huuuuuurt.

For his Mario Sunshine and Sonic Adventure 2 playthroughs, I found it super entertaining but quite sad watching a 35 year-old "professional gamer" get his ass kicked and made to cry at two games I beat with relative ease for the most part when I was 9 years-old.

I love that even when it's baby's first gsme Phil can barely beat the last boss when the mechanic is entirely run left or right then ground pound.

I was hoping he'd game over and have to do the whole climb over again.

I do agree Phil has been more and more 'this game fucking sucks dude" recently. I think he's fully burned out and just can't admit he's the reason he's not having fun anymore.

What I never understand is why he bitches about Nintendo so much taking his ad revenue.
When he was on youtube, sure, those videos get nothing but correct me if i'm wrong they don't really give a shit about twitch? He always blabs on about how he needs support (aka donat---sorry "tips") from fans, but even if he got absolutely $0 off playing anything Nintendo related other than cheers and paypal donations... how much does he think he's getting from everything else?

Shadow of the Colossus being generous has an average of like 800 views a video. 40 Parts and 100% viewer retention at a really meh CPM would get him MAYBE $50. I'm not sure how twitch revenue is counted but lets say he also got $50 just for streaming it. He gets way more tips and shit off any stream of Mario/Zelda because his fans feel sorry for him...

Twitch AD revenue is at meme levels of worthlessness. Thought that YT was bad Twitch has basically no ad rev unless you're Sodapoppin size. But he makes a good living a day on twitch he gets more then $150 a day. When minimum wage in Seattle (About 10 min north of his house) is ~$15 an hour which will net you about ~$95. Less with Health benefits but he's making good enough cash.

lol so not only is he playing games on his girlfriends account/computer (which idk I find a bit intrusive) but he's probably going to get some hot new 4K TV now with the money he doesn't have

I love how he's become a "stereotypical youtuber" now with his shitty little PC monitor, and headphones, and stupid gaming chairs, and facecams unlike real gamers who sit on a big couch with surround sound and don't play games for money!

You're playing on console where most games are either 30 fps or inconsistent 60 fps. I really doubt a tv with lower latency would make a difference (but I'm sure you'd buy one anyway and pretend its making a difference).

All the games I've seen him play (and on console especially) are known for using lobby matchmaking and not dedicated servers which means having a lower latency tv would be the mootest of moot points.

I don't really disagree with him buying a new TV, but how the fuck has Phil been doing this for a solid decade and never changed his TV? Unbelievable. He spends almost no money on his "business". I can't think of any other streamer/YouTuber who lives off it and is so fucking cheap.
