Greta Gustava Martela / Kjel Anderson & Nina Chaubal / Niraj Chaubal - Stole $350k+ from Trans Lifeline, kill count of 2+ from negligence, Founders of Sisterwood/La Zorra.

So...

I have a feeling all pretense of green living will disappear in a cloud of air conditioners and obnoxious cheap generators instantly.

The bizarre thing is that they're not trying to live green or off the grid. Greta has said multiple times that their primary concern is financial sustainability, and both their current activities and the ones they have planned for the future make clear that they have no intention of "treading lightly on the land".

So they plan on alienating the only real allies (the greens) they could ever hope to really have? Nice!

Past that, you also have to factor in the amount of water it takes to grow weed and produce, as they would like to do. The way I see it, unless you have many tankers worth of water coming daily, good fucking luck.
If they do some kind of greenhouse setup with drip irrigation they could cut it down a good bit. To, say, a 1-ton flatbed with 500 gallon slip tank load every week or so.

But that would require a beefy pickup, a site to get water, greenhouses, and pumps/plumbing/controllers. Which require power, fuel, money, skill, and friends. Which they don't have.

At which point, they have to go to real world out there. And, the Ridgecrest Walmart =/= Tumblr.

They haven't even set up a catchment or storage system for water. Anything other than a well or having someone else deliver and set up poly tanks is clearly beyond them.

Which would actually be the most normal thing about this whole project. Most "off the grid" projects that survive long-term end up Robinson Crusoe-ing all the comforts of suburbia back onto their homestead.

By the way, I think we should make a private forum for discussing the many deathtraps of Troontown. They're probably reading here and taking basic safety precautions.
They might well be reading, but I could see them ignoring the advice here out of basic bloody-mindedness. Because they know better and no cis scum will tell them how to build their town.

We are not ruining the experiment by pointing out stuff that could kill them. Troons that are dead in shipping containers in the desert is a lot less funny that ones that are alive.

Have to disagree with the 2nd part. But I think its important to get as many troons into that shipping container as possible and not just Greta & Pajeet, so agree with the first part.

Anyway, I think the acceptable compromise is set up a Text-to-speech program that calls TLL at a random time with the latest kiwi-vetted ways to avoid Troonblinka from turning into a mass-casualty event. All they would need to do to reap this guidance is actually have people answer the hotline they're being paid to run.

I hope they are reading this . I am actually rooting for troontown to be a real thing .

The free unsolicited advice i give is to hit YouTube and look up what an earth ship is .

They are the truly sustainable and desert friendly housing choice . Lots of reuse and intra recycling they are very cool .

Often the materials used to build them are tires filled with sand and cemented to make a wall as a core thermal backend . Naturally water catchment and solar are integrated which reduces but does not totally eliminate the need for water delivery for at least basic loving needs .

We haven't even begun discussing the real logistical issues that they are sure to face.

We all know water is one of the big ones. I don't think they, or we, even have any idea of how big of a problem it can be for them. The first issue is drinking water. For even a few people, water for just sustaining human life in that environment is a logistical nightmare. Since the consensus is that they do not have an on-site source of water, there's a large strike. Past that, you also have to factor in the amount of water it takes to grow weed and produce, as they would like to do. The way I see it, unless you have many tankers worth of water coming daily, good fucking luck.

And that's just the barest of bones way of addressing the water problem they will have shortly.

Even if Nasa built it for them, state of the art - they'd still fuck it up.

I think the real problem (well, if they ever did get it up and running) would be - because it's communal living. They're going to have to live and work like TroonSmurfs to make it happen, which would mean - all eating the same meal, regardless of what they "felt" like. Having to store and consume foods that are fiscally appealing - canned, long life stuff, whatever they could grow. Cooking in a way that's energy and time efficient.
All the big city TroonSmurfs aren't going to like that. So they'll disappear. Having to share weed or ration it out will scare off more of them.
One thing I've learned from the salt on Trump's box of food plan, is that people who like communism, don't actually want to have to make do with communism. They want good old capitalism to prop them up then.

The number of TroonSmurfs left to live this feudal lifestyle will be small. What would be really great would be if the lazy, shit tier ones would be forced to live there full time. Like Dickard being forced to live there and survive on rations of canned meat and bean TroonSlop instead of his usual run to Taco Bell or Starbucks.

It's the desert. Setting up a catchment system for the ~10 inches of rain a year is likely to cost more than it benefits. They need a well or to tap into the irrigation system. But, considering they got the land for nothing, those probably aren't a things that happens there. It is the worst possible land to set up any kind of agricultural venture. Let alone by incompetent troons.

Absolutely. This is a hair-brained venture with absolutely no forethought into how to make it work, only vague platitudes. Everyone involved is a sheltered pussy with absolutely no applicable skillset or work ethic. All they bring is drama. They are all queens and there are no drones. It's Guyana but everyone is Jim Jones.

There probably is, but they called up a water hole boring company and were apparently angry when they were informed they had to get a water tanker out there (at their expense) as well to cool his drill bit. So for now they're just not bothering it seems. They certainly won't be able to get any commercial-sized growing operation up and running out there. Not within five years or more.

Except Jim Jones knew how to organise shit, there's been reams and reams of books and other internet based stuff written on Jones and the other members of the People's Temple and how they used various Chinese and North Korean propaganda methods to subdue their followers. Jones took a mixture of people who were useful and seemingly useless and moulded them into worshipping him and collectivising the temple.

Kjel et al are just hilariously incompetent, rushing and buying the cheapest plot of land they could when there's way more suitable land plots for the same price bracket.

Nina you shouldn't lecture people about segregation, when you advocate for the same thing.

This repulsive creature, who openly hates our country, has been allowed to stay in it by a shitty Chicago judge.

It should be back in India, since it hates our country so much.

I love how these idiots think trade school is easy.

Someone links to CWIT.
They are pretty amazing.
That program (Chicago women in trades) will be the first to tell these snowflakes to fuck off.

And if Kjel is so great at welding, why did he have someone else make that ridiculous cop car stopping fence at their house?

And if Kjel is so great at welding, why did he have someone else make that ridiculous cop car stopping fence at their house?

Because he's a woman now and women are too feminine and delicate to weld. Tee hee!

Also, a fence won't stop a cop car. Force = mass * acceleration, and Wikipedia tells me that a Ford Crown Victoria weighs just under two tons. That hitting a fence at 40 mph means the fence goes bye-bye.

If you are a good welder burns are definitely not something that happen all the time. Wtf.

_For real though._ Of the people I know who weld as a hobby, I think they've burned themselves maybe once or twice since they first started, because they're not careless.

Ah, but they weren't welding while stoned. Clearly an unfair advantage!
