He's skipping it because "a bunch of people" (probably one person) told him it was buggy and wouldn't fit his style of commentary. He also didn't hear about it until a week before release, so he claimed some shit about the hype being fake or something. I don't remember exactly what exceptional logic he used.
I was watching moonmoon play it last night and he was just going around a monastery choking out priests and creating a mountain of monk corpses all set to 80s montage music and it was probably one of the funniest streams I've seen

It's pretty telling when the first reply is "OTHER TWITCH STREAMERS DO IT!", which is not accurate, nobody tries to #savethehouse like this with amorphous tax bills

It's pretty telling when your opening argument in defense of your actions is, "other people [citation needed] do it." Like it's inherently sleezy and just because other people [citation needed] are possibly sleezy doesn't free you from being as morally vapid as other people [citation needed].

If you have other people pay your taxes for you isn't that just as bad as tax evasion? I mean you have to pay taxes so government programs can continue to run such as police, fire department, mail, the military, social security, infrastructure, etc. Phil is basically trying to get his fans to not only pay all his bills but also chip in so he doesn't have to contribute to society at all.

I don't know how Phil justifies being such a grubby greedy bum. Sorry, bums don't beg for money and then tell you they're going to need more later so make sure to come back.

Someone just astutely pointed out that Roomba 2.0 has to stick with Overwatch because Phil likely has very few games in his possession aside from what he's currently playing and what he hasn't gotten around to deleting off his hard drive.

The weird thing is that the Overwatch profile hasn't been active for about 4 days now. The :autism: in me says that maybe Phil noticed that her profile had been found out, and had her make it private, lest another embarrassing revelation like the Valentine's Day late night session came to light to protect her. That's assuming the profile is even hers in the first place, of course. The name, Symmetra main and time Phil supposedly played matched up, though.

Her other accounts (PS4, Xbox and Steam) haven't been active, either. I guess it's possible that she's just playing on Phil's account(s), since he'd presumably have more games.

That or dad says no games until all the chores are done

Oh and also today was funny seeing someone get banned for only saying " I find it hard to believe dsp does not know the total figure yet of what he owes, that would most def been told to him, by now. And also know state or federal taxes are ever demanded in a bulk some they all take payment plans"

lol.....unreal

I think it was popsicolo who did it

He is going to eat a twitch suspension if he does this again. He is playing with fire, the new ToS and attitude that they are taking seems serious
I maintain the new ToS are based off of Twitch participation.

Basically that Twitch don't care because of the amount of bits his paypigs buy.

Small streamers with next to no participation get banned for next to nothing even with the old ToS.

Also they pushed the new rules to now be coming into effect on March 5 from what I have heard. Mainly everyone was pissed that it was really vaguely written.

@Phalanx: find Eddyb43's and my posts from the end of January. I track cheers and subs along with some other information about how much individuals cheer, who gifted subs, and so on. Eddyb43 also tracks cheers and subs, along with tips (at least the ones that show up on screen and/or are mentioned verbally by Phil).

For January, I had about $5300 in cheers+subs only, and as I recall, he had ~$2500 in tips. So he pulled about $7800 before taxes and fees. However, that included 85 gifted subs as people pushed for some sub goal that I don't remember. Hence why his subs are down to 486 as of last night. If things keep going the way they are, I'd project he'll end up with $3000-3500 in cheers+subs and maybe $1500 in tips. However, if he does his little sub "fundraiser" at the end of the month, it may be a bit higher. Regardless, barring some major whale dumping of money, Feb is going to be a big step down. Patreon is down to $845, even.

I may do an estimated "expenses" breakdown as well in the money thread---the short version is that even with favorable assumptions about how much DSP is spending, his fixed monthly costs (so not including food and such) are something like $7k.

Thank you so much man and to Eddy, if you ever need assistance or a break just hollah and I will gladly try and do my best. I kinda lurk and here about his expenses and my guesses are at around 7k too including condo CT which is huge.

He is down to 483 now as of his first stream. I intend to watch the begathon intensely because he is going to go full shill. So if estimates go to how we are going he will get about 6k low ball his youtube views this month have been terrible but still give him easily 40% of his monthly income. This is going to make him utterly crack as SoulMaid is bringing nothing in. 2018 is looking tough for Phil already as his main donors are gone.

If I were a supporter of Phil's I wouldn't give another dime until he showed evidence for him needing more money for muh taxes. He's really toeing the line with this "Charity/Fundraiser stream" shit. IRS doesn't ask money without sending you paperwork. Show me that statement saying you owe however many dollars.

How no one asks "why aren't you putting a little bit aside. . ." is beyond me. Eventually these folks are just going to accept paying his tax liability each quarter. That's just what's going to happen. I mean at least with the "Washington state taxes" lie (and yes, this was an unqualified lie, at least in the amount owed) it was framed as an unexpected expense. This is just him flat out saying "I'm not going to pay my taxes. . .you are."

. . .only bright spot is his Patreon and his Twitch subs seem to have taken the hit that usually comes when you tap the well far too often. 480 subs isn't bad, but with the math done earlier that's only about 2K or less; slot in the Patreon and you're looking at 3K max. That is A LOT of ground tips and cheers need to make up for.

The shenanigans of the last couple of months (real and imagined) have clearly had an impact on the guys finances and it's showing in his stress level.

Phil's chat is rapidly losing patience with his inability to do the mission with the rc plane and his insistence he's doing it right and its the games fault when he's clearly not using the shoulder buttons.

Edit: Phil manages to finally kill the guy by parkin the plane on the street and shooting him.

Then he self destruct and fails the mission.

Chat is eviscerating him. Thank god it's not a drunk stream because he's clearly fucking angry.

Edit edit: "dumb fucks" "stupid chat" "god damn idiots" Phil isn't happy. Yelling at his viewers during ufc 3 didn't work out well, interesting he's trying it again.

Man hes fucking up badly on the rc plane mission and as usual, its never his fault right?

Its been ages since I played GTA:SA but isn't the RC mission one of the most hated/loved aspects of it?
Even fucking Polygon has an article dedicated to it, claiming the voice actor also hated it:
https://www.polygon.com/2016/8/6/12...n-andreas-supply-lines-cheat-hard-david-cross

Anyway, its hilarious that's he's "blaming the game" as usual when its already known to be a fiddly mission. Could just laugh instead or hire more Kimberlie Brinks and then run them over once you've signed the NDA.

Phil eventually beat it after realizing the plane doesn't take crash damage and slamming the plane into the ground to stop behind targets and shoot them. And even that took a few tries because he'd randomy lift off or swerve while sitting still.

One time he self destructed himself after killing everyone too.

Also this is the patched to be easier version of the mission. Phil has cleanzed his demons and is back to smug mode.

Also they pushed the new rules to now be coming into effect on March 5 from what I have heard. Mainly everyone was pissed that it was really vaguely written.

Wasn't it always kind of vague?

If hes hovering at 480 - 520 subs so lets say 500 thats approx $2495 a month.

If twitch get half of that its $1247.50 a month, for 33% its $823.35. Even if twitch only get 10% of that its $249.50

249.50x12 = $2994 (10%)
823x12 = $9876 (33%)
1247.50x12 = $14,970 (50%)
1746.5x12 = $20,952 (70%)

I find it hard to believe twitch would lose this money just because a an army of angry chinese cartoon avatars started reeing at them over twitter about begging for bits, or for doing a fundraiser for personal or charitable reasons.

The only reason I can foresee him getting kicked off twitch is when he's a financial drain on them. Having fans buying bits for a fundraiser = $$$ for him and twitch if anything I'm surprised twitch haven't sent him an email saying they are huge fans and that he should do more fundraisers.

Its far easier for companies of that size to treat him like just another statistic calculate the amount of money he brings in.

tl;dr Money gets you a free pass, ToS are vague as they usually are, corporations treat you like a statistic with dollar signs on your head.
